Smith Calls Down with Ace-High

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Chino Rheem raised to 40,000 preflop and Gavin Smith three-bet to 118,000. Action folded back to Rheem and he made the call.

The flop was {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Rheem led for 80,000 which was called by Smith. The river was the {6-Spades} and Rheem fired again, this time for 134,000. Smith tanked for a bit before making the call.

While we didn't hear Rheem say anything or make any motions, it was clear to Smith that he didn't have anything and after a moment tabled his {a-}{q-}. Rheem stared at it for a few seconds before checking his cards and throwing them to the muck.

Adam Levy Eliminated in 7th Place ($70,960)

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Chino Rheem opened the pot with a raise to 40,000 before Adam Levy moved all in, next to act, for about 400,000. Action folded back to Rheem who immediately made the call.

Rheem: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Levy: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Levy was going to need some help to stay alive and found it on the {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop. The crowd let out a roar when it was dealt but Levy was not out of the woods yet. He went over behind the dealer Phil Laak style, to get the first look at turn and river. The next card out was the {9-Spades} and Levy was just a four-outter away with one card to come from doubling up. However, the {a-Diamonds} binked the river and sent Levy to the rail as our 7th place finisher.

A class act, Levy immediately began shaking everyones hand before going to the rail to be consoled by friends.
