John Gale always seems to be hanging around. He was short all of yesterday and doubled up late to advance to Day 2. With a short stack today, he managed to only make it a few levels. He's out.
After sitting with an under average chip stack (22k) Noah Boeken managed to double his stack and is now sitting with 47,000 in chips. "I WON SOME CHIPS!" he said with an optimistic smile. If it's chips he wants there are plenty more for the taking as chip leader, Chad Brown sits directly across the table from Noah with a chip stack empire exceeding 260k.
Carlos Mortensen is building a fortress with his 196k in chips. Fortunately Andy Black is counter balancing the weight of chips on the opposite end of the table with 190k.
Of course as soon as I starting walking the floor I heard a glass break in the distance. It's a little bit easier to navigate the tables as a perimeter is set up to keep the spectators on the rail. A few wander inside the ropes and try to sweat their friends, but the tournament staff has been kicking out the miscreants.
For all you Michaela Johansson fans, she's up to 17K and one of the last few females left in the mix.
The Devilfish has brought his bling back out to protect his chips.
And Emad Tahtouh was spotted joking around with Harry Demetriou. He started giving Harrry a massage (no P.O.B. was spotted) and Harry asked, "How much do you charge by the hour?"
The Poker Brat is not bullet proof. He was all in with K-K against A-A. Guess what? Phil Hellmuth is out. Maybe he can catch Phil Ivey to play some Chinese Poker so he can get unstuck for the week.
Fabio Bianchi, playing at Greg Raymer's table, has eliminated another opponent. Bianchi had a set of Jacks when his opponent decided to go all-in with K-Q on a flop of J-Q-5. Bianchi reaches the 130K chip mark.
