Ready Teddy Go

Former International footballer Teddy Sheringham has emerged as a surprise contender for chip leader (or, at least, a member of the chasing pack) with circa 40,000 in chips. He came out smelling of roses after experiencing a deck so cold that it would make the Antarctic feel like a Swedish Sauna.

On a rainbow board of A-K-8-8-5, all the chips flew in to form a monster three way pot with Sheringham taking it down with quad eights. Remarkably, his battered and bruised foes revealed pocket kings and pocket aces and will be armed with a pretty good excuse when their wives ask why they've returned home so soon.

Antonio Esfandiari Eliminated

The Magician Disappears
The Magician Disappears
Player from late position raised to 900. Antonio Esfandiari re-raised to 3,600 from the small blind leaving him only 2,000 behind. His opponent tanked for several minutes before he called. The flop was 6-5-2 rainbow. Antonio Esfandiari moved all in for his remaining stack. His opponent snap called with A-J off suit. Antonio Esfandiari tabled K-10. The turn was the 9 and the river was a 5. Esfandiari did not improve and he was eliminated.

Ivey Gets Rivered

Phil Ivey raised to 700. Chris Moorman from the small blind shoved all in for 6,700. Ivey called with A-K suited. Moorman tabled A-Q off suit. The flop was A-10-6 rainbow. The turn was a 7 and the river was a Queen. Moorman doubled up and Ivey was left with a mere 4,500.

Ladowsky Lays it Down

I didn't catch the initial bet, but the board read {9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Steve Ladowsky had just raised the river to to 6,000, only for his opponent to bump it up to 11,000. After a long dwell, Ladowsky conceded the hand, and as such dropped to 20,000 in chips.

Moorman Floats Ivey

Chris Moorman raised it up preflop from late position with {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Phil Ivey defended his big blind. On the {A-?}{2-?}{3-?} flop, Ivey checked, Moorman bet 1,300, Ivey made it 3,000 and Moorman called. On the nine turn, Moorman took it down with a bet of 3,300. Moorman has taken a hit or two since and is now struggling with 7,400.
