The first three days of this event played out in a tucked-away, rather warm back corner of the casino but now that we're down to three tables, the players have been moved out of the shadows and into the middle of the gaming floor. Everyone has a bit more space to move around now, though the air in this part of the casino is rather smoky, with abundant cigarette-smoking going on behind the rail (though it's not permitted at the tables themselves).
Also ever-present is the thump of electronica, which is giving this reporter flashbacks to the WSOP-Europe, where the "untz untz" of dance music poured out of the nightclub next to the tournament area. It doesn't seem to be bothering the players, though, many of whom continue to bop in time to their own tunes flowing through their iPods.
Minieri made it 17,000 under the gun, only for Stefan Rotach to make it all in from the button for another 21,000 or so. "I don't think I can fold," said Minieri, but dwelled up for a while anyway, before eventually calling.
A few hands later, it folded around to Egemo on the small blind, who raised to 9,500. Dario Minieri on the big blind eyed up Egemo's stack, and reraised to 100,000, well covering Egemo. A prompt call, and they were racing.

Board:
Egemo is out, and the golden Dario is up to a chip-leading 350,000.
Meanwhile an enormous pot had developed over on Table Lacay. With the board reading , Uffe Holm bet out 20,000 only for Ludovic Lacay to raise to 50,000. Holm counted out his remaining chips -- about 83,000 -- and sipped his tea thoughtfully before calling. Lacay turned over for the straight, and Holm just mucked.
Lacay now up to around the 200,000 mark (it was a very large pot), while Holm is down to 53,000.
Roland de Wolfe opened for 10,000, Kevin Macphee moved all in for 23,300 and De Wolfe made the call.
Macphee
De Wolfe
The flop came down , both players pairing their ace, but Macphee leading with the better kicker. The turn was the , De Wolfe picking up a gutshot straight draw. Disaster for Macphee as the spiked on the river, making De Wolfe a seven-high straight and eliminating Macphee in 19th place. He's now off to collect his €7,038 in winnings.
Ludovic Lacay minimum-raised to 8,000, and Juan Manuel Pastor to his immediate left announced that he was all in. On the big blind, Uffe Holm announced that he was also all in, the Wall Of Media materialized, Lacay quickly passed, Holm got up on his chair and they were on their backs.

Holm: "Yes! That is good."
Turn:
Holm: "No two!"
River:
Holm, standing on his chair and making devil horns at the rail: "Bomb! Who's the champ! I'm back, and I'm pissed."
Holm up to 106,000, Pastor crippled to just 19,000.
