Sandra Edlund Eliminated

Edlund Busto
Edlund Busto
Newly discovered fan-favorite Sandra Edlund has been eliminated from today's event in a three-way all-in pot. The player on the button decided to put the two short stacks in the blinds all-in however both looked down at their cards and made the call.

The button sheepishly turned over {8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, the big blind revealed {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} while Edlund held the lead with her {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

However the flop changed everything when it peeled off {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} to give the player in the big blind a commanding lead. Needing another lady to stay alive, the turn and the river landed {J-Spades}{8-Hearts} to eliminate the newly discovered fan-favorite from today's event.

Nasty Table Draw

When Chad Brown was moved to the same table as 2005 WSOP Main Event Champ Joe Hachem and Holland's Ed de Haas, one could've raised the argument that theirs was one of the toughest tables in the room. Now, with the recent addition of tournament pros Anna Wroblewski and Surinder Sunar, we're going to go ahead and make it official. If nothing else, it's definitely a bad beat for the other three players at the table.

New Chip Leader

Andreas Hagen of Denmark has skyrocketed to the top of the leaderboard over the last couple of hours. Hagen started the day with just 10,275 in chips and now sits behind a stack of over 250,000. Pure speculation might suggest that he won a pot or two from former big stack Alexia Portal, who has dropped to 69,000 in chips since our last count.

Eric Liu Loves 6-10

On a flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Eric Liu checked, Andrew Feldman bet 4,000, Liu raised to 12,000, and Feldman three-bet to 31,000. After a careful study and several looks at the 50,000 his opponent had behind, Liu quietly announced all in with a wave of his hand. Feldman quickly made the call.

Feldman turned up {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and slammed the table, shouting an expletive as Liu showed his {6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for trips. Feldman bolted from his seat, never to see the {3-Clubs} to fall on the turn and the {8-Clubs} on the river. The CardRunners instructor and new Full Tilt pro dragged the massive pot and now sits on 210,000 going into the dinner break.

Barry Greenstein Loses Ground

Down but not out
Down but not out
Barry Greenstein raised to 3,000 on the button and Antonio Esfandiari called from the big blind. The flop was {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Esfandiari led out for 5,100, Greenstein raised to 30,000, Esfandiari moved all in for 28,000 more and Greenstein gave it up. Esfandiari flashed {6-Spades}{7-Spades} as he raked in the pot.

Greenstein is still in it, though with 27,000.
