Baron Approaching 1 Mil

On a board showing {8-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, Isaac "westmenloAA" Baron led out with a 100,000 bet and big stack Robin Keston made the call. The river brought the {J-Hearts} and Baron fired again, this time betting 215,000 into the approximately 300,000 pot. The bet sent Keston into the tank, his hands slightly shaking as he played with his chips. After a solid minute or two had passed, Keston laid down his hand and Baron scooped up the pot, bringing his total chip count to 966,000 for the day.

Big Hands, No Action

With the action folded to him in the small blind, Joe Hachem turned to the man on his left, Isaac Baron, and said, "I know you'll move in on me, so I'll give you a walk, one time," as he mucked his cards. Baron peeked at his cards for the first time and turned up {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

On the very next deal, Hachem folded on the button, and Baron gave up the small blind, only to see the big blind, Robin Keston, flash {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}.

Next hand in, Hachem raised from the cutoff and got no takers. He showed J-J as he raked in the blinds and antes.

Boekhoff Extracts Revenge Against Hachem

While it may have been a small pot, Thomas Boekhoff just got some of his chips back from Joe Hachem after calling the former world champ down to the river with middle pair. Boekhoff checked-called a Hachem bet on a {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} flop, and another when the {8-Spades} fell on the turn. The last card off the deck was the {9-Spades} and both players knuckled the table, opting to move straight to the showdown.

"Do I have to show first?" Boekhoff asked the dealer, who nodded, prompting Boekhoff to turn over {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a single pair of tens. As it turned out, that was all he needed to win the 100,000+ pot, as Hachem mucked. Boekhoff now has right around 400,000 in chips.
