Media Tournament Underway

It's smooth sailing in and out of the Main Event tournament area now, as a majority of the media is currently taking part in a PokerStars-sponsored freeroll tournament on the other side of media row.

David Miara Eliminated in 18th Place ($73,325)

David Miara
David Miara was eliminated from the tournament after losing a coinflip to Isaac "westmenloAA" Baron. The hand saw Baron open the pot with a 44,000 pre-flop raise and Miara re-popped it to 164,000 from the button, leaving himself with approximately 225,000 behind. Action then folded back around to Baron who moved all in, putting Miara to a decision for all of his chips. Miara made the call and tabled a pocket pair of tens; Baron turned over {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

Miara held the lead in the hand through the turn, as the board had filled out {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, but the {J-Hearts} on the river dropped a bomb on Miara's final-table hopes, sending the devastated youngster home with $73,325 in prize money.

With the win, Baron jumped way past one million in chips and currently sits with right around 1.36 million.
