Cirstea Pays Off Robinson

David Robinson opened with a raise to 17,000. Ciprian Cirstea called in the next seat and then Samer Rahman called on the button. The three players saw the flop come down {K-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}.

Robinson fired a continuation bet of 25,000. Cirstea seemed unpleased with the bet and looked in pain while he mulled over the decision. Rahman looked very bored while waiting for his action, staring at the ceiling as if he had already mucked his hand. After two minutes, Cirstea made the call and Rahman quickly folded.

The turn brought the {K-Hearts} and Robinson didn't flinch for about 20 seconds before checking with a few taps of his finger. Cirstea quickly checked behind.

The river was the {5-Spades} and again Robinson took his time before moving. He counted out a bet of 55,000 and slid it into the middle. Cirstea put his own 55,000 in immediately after.

Robinson tabled {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} and Cirstea flung his cards into the muck, yelling in a language we could not understand. Robinson is up to 405,000.

Massive Pot Alert

Castell-ouch-io
Castell-ouch-io
Sergio Castellucio opened for 21,000, only for entertaining Swede Samer Rahman to make it 100,500 to go. Folds all round the table back to Castellucio, who pushed for an additional 220,000. A call, and with 640,000 in the middle making it the biggest pot of the tournament so far, it was one almighty classic coinflip.

Castellucio: {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}
Rahman: {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}

Board: {J-Spades} {10-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {7-Spades}

With a sigh, Castellucio took his leave. Rahman meanwhile moved on up the leader board, with almost 1.1 million in chips.

The remaining players are scattered over five tables in the tournament room. Amongst those in the field are five prior EPT champions. Jan Boubli won EPT Barcelona in season two, Roland de Wolfe won EPT Dublin in season three, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier won EPT Paradise Island in season four, Mike "Timex" McDonald won EPT Dortmund also in season four while Jens Kyllonen won the EPT in Copenhagen last year. All of these players have the chance to make history and be the first person to win two EPT titles.

Three-Way All In Action

We arrived at the table just in time to see a massive three-way all in showdown. The chips were in before the flop, and the cards looked as follows:

Jose Alberto Quereda: all in for 51,000 with {A-Diamonds} {J-Spades}
Thomas Traboulsi: all in for 85,000 total with {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}
Manole Mihai: easily covering them both and holding {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}

With Quereda already standing to leave, the board came out thus: {4-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}

The fortunate Quereda found himself tripling up to 160,000, while the fuming Traboulsi won the side pot but still lost money on the hand and remains firmly in the danger zone.

Donating to the Mike McDonald Fund

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier raised to 18,000 from middle position. Mike "Timex" McDonald reraised to 47,500 from the cutoff. The big blind, Yulius Sepman, then moved all in. ElkY ducked out of the way and McDonald quickly called.

McDonald held pocket kings -- {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds} -- against Sepman's {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {9-Clubs} {9-Spades} {2-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}, eliminating Sepman from the tournament. McDonald moved up to 600,000 chips.
