Agarwal Gone Wrong

We arrived to see a massive pot in progress.

The flop read {3-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}. There were three players in the hand. However the action had gone up until this point, there was 9,000 on the felt in front of the player in the big blind, and down the table Aditya Agarwal's whole 22,500 stack was across the line. The gent in the button looked tortured for some time - and then reshoved. The big blind wrote off his 9,000 and folded, and Agarwal and Mr. Button were on their backs.

Agarwal: {K-Spades} {9-Spades} for top pair
Mr. Button: {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} for an overpair

Turn: {8-Diamonds}

River: {Q-Diamonds}

Looking a little sheepish but still very good-natured, Agarwal took his leave.

Every Chip Counts

One player and Johnny Lodden both checked the board of {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{A-Hearts} to the river where the {6-Clubs} fell. Lodden's opponent checked to him. Lodden fired 1,325 and his opponent folded.

It's not much, but either is the amount in Lodden's stack so every little bit counts. He's got about 10,000 at the moment.

Livb Barely Alive

Olivier "livb112" Busquet checked a board of {A-Spades} {8-Clubs} {7-Spades} {6-Clubs} {9-Clubs}. Busquet's lone opponent responded by moving all in for around 10,000. That was enough to put Busquet all in. He sat deep in thought for three or four minutes before folding. He's now got 8,800 to run back up to a full stack.

Sixes are Exclusive

Action folded to the button who raised before Noah Boeken called from the small blind. The flop came down {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Boeken checked. The button fired 1,150 and Boeken made the call.

The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and Boeken checked. His opponent checked behind and the dealer dealt the {9-Hearts} on the river. Boeken and his opponent both checked again.

Boeken tabled the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and his opponent flashed {A-?}{K-?} before tossing his hand into the muck. With that pot, Boeken got back to 21,000.

Mathis Makes the Call

Dag Palovic and Rino Mathis were heads up by the time they got to the river of a board reading {8-Spades} {7-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}. Palovic bet 8,000 into a 22,000-chip pot, and Mathis took several minutes to make the call. Palovic mucked instantly, and Mathis took the pot with {10-Spades} {9-Spades}.

"Ooo, if the flush had come," lamented Palovic, who said he flopped the nut flush draw and turned an open-ender.

Heady Heits

Just before the break, Team PokerStars Pro Jan Heitmann bumped his stack up to 55,000. The board read {A-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {K-Hearts} {9-Hearts} and Heitmann bet 3,725. His opponent eventually called - but was probably horrified when Heitmann turned over {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} for a rivered set, and mucked.
