Joe Ebanks raised to 700, Dmitry Vitkind three-bet to 2,000 to his direct left and then the table big stack Anthony Picault sorted all the nonsense out with a 5,200 four-bet. Both Ebanks and Vitkind folded quite quickly.
In the next hand there was an early position raise by Gianluca Mattia to 700, Ebanks and Vitkind made the call. The flop was Mattia bet 1,525, Ebanks called but Vitkind folded. The turn was and both players checked. The dealer then gave them the very straight-connecting looking . Mattia tested the water with a 2,700 bet and Ebanks decided it was better not to get his feet wet and folded.
Ludovic Lacay has just escaped elimination by the skin of his teeth.
The board was and Aleksi Savela had put Lacay all-in. Lacay made the call and he was in a world of hurt.
Savela:

There were a few cards in the deck that would save Lacay and one of them was the .
"Split pot," said a grateful Lacay after the dealer gave us that very card.
Note the crippling of Anton Wigg - details of that to follow.

Anton Wigg had been crippled to around 2,000 after he check-called bets of 1,100, 2,550 and finally 7,075 on the flop, turn and river of a board of .
Wigg pretty much snap-called the final bet, but could only muck when his opponent turned over for a rather large house.
Fabrice Soulier and Marc Inizan just had a joust with Inizan coming out the winner.
We joined the action on a board of with 5,050 in the pot. Inizan was in the big blind and he bet 3,075 and Soulier called. The river was the and both players checked.
Inizan flipped over and Soulier mucked his hand unseen.
The skill level on the Inizan/Soulier table just went up a notch after the introduction of Natalia Nikitina and EPT Vienna winner Michael Eiler. It was actually Eiler who ended Inizan's hope of an EPT title when they clashed in the following hand.
Eiler raised to 750 on the button and Marc Inizan three-bet from the small blind when he made it 2,175 to play. Eiler asked Inizan for a count and Inizan politely moved out of the way to allow the German to have a peek. Eiler then withdrew his original 750 bet in one scoop and replaced it with a bet of 9,025. Inizan drew his line in the sand and moved all-in and Eiler snap-called.

Inizan was eliminated and Eiler now has 91,575 and is one of our chip leaders.
With the big blind sitting out, Nicolas Levi opened to 800 from early position and received calls from Albert Winchester and Gerado Muro before Viktor Blom made it 3,200 in the small blind.
Levi studied Blom's remaining stack before reraising to 8,000 with Winchester and Muro quickly got out the way as did Blom, the Swede has just 8,000 left. Levi up to 48,000.
American/Slovenian/Australian EPT fixture Casey Kastle is having rather a good day.
Riccardo Lacchinelli opened to 950 but Kastle made it 2,500 from the button. Cornel Cimpan in the small blind rather unexpectedly called, Lacchinelli less unexpectedly called too, and they saw a flop.
The flop proved uninspiring to Kastle's opponents. It checked around to Kastle who bet 3,000, and it was enough to push both his opponents off the hand. The apparent citizen/resident of many different nations is up to 47,000.
