Let's Burst This Bubble

Garri Tevosov
Garri Tevosov

Welcome back to Day 3 of the 2011 PokerStars.com EPT Prague Main Event. There are 136 players left from the original, record-setting starting field of 722 and Garri Tevosov leads the way big with 764,000 in chips.

Jude Ainsworth bagged up the most chips of the remaining Team PokerStars Pros with 313,000, while fellow Team Pros Liv Boeree, Juan Manuel Pastor, Dag Palovic and Johnny Lodden also still remain.

Other notables Chris Moorman, Max Silver, Mike McDonald, David Peters, Nicolas Levi and former EPT Grand Final winner Nicolas Chouity are still in contention.

With the top 104 places being paid out, the bubble should come fairly early in the day. From there, the grind to reach the final 24 players will begin. Play kicks off at 12:00 CET, so be sure to follow along right here at PokerNews for all of the action.

Timex Grabs a Small One Early

We picked up the action on a {J-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {8-Clubs} flop as Mike McDonald was leading the betting. He was out of position in the small blind, and he put out 8,800. Milan Joksic paused for a while before making the call, and the {K-Clubs} landed on the turn. McDonald only needed two bullets; another bet of 16,600 on fourth street won him the pot outright.

Ari Engel on Day 2
Ari Engel on Day 2

We watched Andre Klebanov check a {9-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} flop, and Ari Engel bet 6,100. Klebanov stuck in a check-raise, though, and Engel tanked and called the extra 11,200 on top. On the {J-Hearts} turn, Klebanov fired back out with 27,200, and Engel considered for a long while before matching the bet once more.

The river came the {K-Diamonds}, and Klebanov wasn't slowing down now. He reduced his bet to 22,500, and Engel made the last call. At showdown, Klebanov revealed that his {5-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} had found a flush, and Engel quietly slid his cards muckward.

Wigg Chips Up

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

After Lubor Dedic opened to 6,300, Anton Wigg reraised to 14,800. Dedic was in the hijack seat and Wigg in the cutoff. Action folded back to Dedic and he, too, folded, allowing Wigg to chip up.
