Roberto Romanello Wins Huge Pot From Nick Yunis

Roberto Romanello has around 160,000 chips after a clash with the hyper-aggressive Nick Yunis went his way.

Before the break one player opened to 2,500 and Romanello three-bet to 6,200. Yunis was to his direct left and he made the call; the original raiser folded. The flop came down {J-}{8-}{6-} with two spades, Romanello continued with a bet of 12,000 and Yunis called. On the off-suit ten turn Romanello kept the pedal to the metal and made it 35,000 and again Yunis called, but when Romanello emptied the clip and moved all in on the {K-} river Yunis folded and the monster pot went the way of the Welshman.

Nearly a Double Elimination

Table 17 provided a pre flop three-way all-in, and two players nearly busted.

Alexander Andermatt opened to 3,500 before Dimitar Danchev moved all-in for 24,000 from the next. Luca Cavecchi must've seen value as he called all-in for 5,100 from the small blind. Andermatt called and it was showdown time.

Andermatt: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Danchev: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Cavecchi: {3-Spades}{2-Clubs}

The board ran {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Cavecchi made trips to tripple up, and he almost kissed the dealer such was his delight. Danchev busted and Andermatt took the chunky side pot.

Moorman Makes River Move

Chris Moorman raised to 3,600 and got called by Giuseppe Biancoviso on the button, Antonio Valenti and Michele Ugolini in the blinds.

Everyone checked the {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop before Valenti led out for 7,200 on the {6-Hearts} turn, Moorman was the only caller to see the {K-Diamonds} on the river. Valenti now checked and Moorman thought for nearly two minutes before moving all in for about 40,000. Valenti snap-folded.

Vamplew Leaps Back into the Lead

David Vamplew is back on top of the counts with a hand with that had a little bit of showdown value, and backed into being the nut flush.

He was heads up to the turn with Danilo Donnini and the board read {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Donnini was in the small blind and led for 6,200. Vamplew called to the {9-Spades} river where he faced a check. The former EPT London winner bet a polarising 19,800. Donnini called and wasn't too happy when Vamplew opened up {a-Spades}{8-Spades} for the nut flush.

Vamplew raked in more chips with an embarrassed look on his face accompanied with a cheeky little smile at the corner of his mouth. Almost as if butter wouldn't melt!

Vamos!

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The hand we are about to describe is one of the reasons poker players flock to tournaments hosted in Italy.

The action folded around to Piero Schiavulli in the cutoff and he looked down at his cards, doubled checked that he had 31 big blinds and moved all-in for 50,100. The button and small blind folded but our Hungarian chip leader, Balazs Botond, made the call.

Botond: {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Schiavulli; {8-Spades}{4-Spades} !!

The {7-Hearts}{J-Spades}{6-Spades} flop gave Chiavulli some hope of staying in the EPT Campione Main Event and the {5-Hearts} smacked him straight between the eyes, gifting him a straight. The inconsequential {6-Diamonds} on the river completed the hand and Schiavulli leapt from his seat with a cry of "VAMOS!" Well played that man.

Antonius Increases Stack By 50%

Mihai Manole opened to 3,200 and got three callers in Georgios Karakousis, Todd Terry and Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand Grospellier. Patrik Antonius then moved all in for 35,500 and Manole and Karakousis both folded, Todd Terry got a count and looked as though he might be calling but after some calculation opted for the fold. Grospellier quickly folded as well.

Servalli Busts In Set-Over-Set Confrontation

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

On a rather wet board reading {7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} a whole lot of action kicked off and a huge pot was created. We got to the table to see the button, Christian Togsverd, sat with a raise of 33,000 in front of him, Stefano Servalli in early position with 12,600 in front of him and we heard Fabrizio Leonardi move all in for what turned out to be 111,500! Yes really!

Togsverd had seen enough and he got out of the way but Servalli called off the rest of his stack, around 80,000.

Servalli: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Leonardi: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Togsverd claims to have folded pocket kings which helped neither play in the grand scheme of things. The {9-Spades} turn improved both players to a boat but Servalli held a very expensive second best one. The {6-Hearts} on the river completed the hand, eliminated Servalli and boosted Leonardi to around 225,000.
