We didn't see much of the hand that eliminated Alessio Isaia. We know he was in the big blind and called all-in on a queen high turn with
. Ivo Donev was his opponent in the hand and made an easy call with pocket kings. The river blanked and the local-ish pro headed off.

Rupert Elder seems to be having a day where he can't quite get out of second gear. He had high acceleration with back to back doubles early-on, but since then it's been a win one, lose one scenario.
The last pot he played was a lose one. He opened to 4,000 from under the gun and made a reluctant looking call with
when Daniel Erlandsson shoved for 42,800 from the hijack. The Swede opened
and the board ran

Balazs Botond has won a lot of pots, many perhaps at the expense of former Day 1 chip leader Davide Andreoni. The Hungarian was briefly over the 600,000 mark but just doubled up a short stack, he's still got 570,000 though.
We asked if Botond had been running really good but before he could answer, two of the players at his table piped up, "He's not been running good, he's been playing really good." Botond agreed.

A couple of players folded to Grigorij Orlov and the Latvian opened the betting with a raise to 5,000. Todd Terry and Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier folded but Patrik Antonius made the call, meaning it was heads up to the

flop. Orlov re-checked his cards before betting 16,100, a slightly larger than expected continuation bet but that did not put Antonous off one bit and he moved all in. Orlov called and the cards were flipped over.
Antonius:

Orlov:

The turn was the
followed by the
river and when the stacks were counted Antonius was left with just 5,100 chips.
Antonius' micro stack went into the middle on the very next hand. Todd Terry opened in early position, ElkY three-bet to 12,200 and Antonius put his stack into the middle. Terry folded and the cards were shown.
Antonius:

ElkY:

By the river the board read

and Antonius' stack swelled to 20,000.
Amazingly, these went into the middle just one hand later. Terry raised, Antonius shoved with what turned out to be
and terry auto-called with
. Terry took the lead on the

flop and stayed in front as the turn and river were the
and
respectively.

"An easy double for you," said Muhamet Perati after he raise-called Heinz Kamutzki's small blind three-bet shove.
The shove was only for 15,000 after a 4,200 open.
Kamutzki:

Perati:

The board ran

and that settled that.
Last week Olivier Busquet spent the best part of three days grinding a short stack and did admirably well, finishing in the money. Here he's now one of the big stacks, Davor Lanini had made it 5,000 preflop with two callers behind him.
Busquet raised to 25,000 from the small blind and Lanini shoved, the two callers folded and Busquet put his tournament life on the line.
Lanini:

Busquet:

The board came

and Busquet is now one of the big stacks.
