Carla Solinas, the last woman in the tournament, has been knocked out - she was holding but found herself in hot water against Simeon Naydenov's . A nine on the flop but nothing more caused the Italian lady's swansong when the board came .
Naydenov has about 630,000 and is looking dangerous.
The chip lead has changed hands multiple times today. The latest to have a go at leading is Jannick Wrang.
Fabrice Soulier opened from the cut-off and both Wrang (SB) and Stefan Czischke (BB) called to the flop.
Czischke led for 25,000 and that was enough to force out Soulier. Wrang called and then led himself, for 41,000, on the turn. Czischke wasted little time in moving all in. The Dane got the count and made the call with for a flush. Czischke opened for a smaller flush.
Czischke wasn't dead though as the would make him a straight flush. It failed to appear on the river though and he busted in 40th place.
Olivier Busquet is a dangerous player. Olivier Busquet armed with a huge stack is a very dangerous player indeed because he will boss those around him if they let him.
Just now Panagiotis Gavriulidis opened to 17,000 from the hijack, Busquet called on the button and Fabrizio Leonardi put in the extra chips from the big blind. The dealer fanned out the flop and when Leonardi checked to Gavriulidis the Greek continued to 27,000 only to see Busquet move a tower of blues forward worth 100,000. This raise was enough to fold out Leonardi but Gavriulidis stuck around for almost a minute pondering a call, but he ultimately folded and Busquet added even more chips to his stack.
Busquet is certainly now on course to add an EPT title to his WPT gong.
Mario Nagel is looking very depressed. It'sbecause he's the latest victim of Robin Vlitalo's self-admitted run good.
Just a few hands before, Vlitalo had cracked Koen De Visscher's aces with jacks and in this hand he got into a raising war with the German Nagel.
Vlitalo raised to 16,000 but when Nagel made it 43,000 from the blinds, the Swede responded by four-betting to 78,000. Undeterred, Nagel five-bet to 178,000 and Vlitalo moved all in for 549,000 but Nagel quickly called.
Nagel:
Vlitalo:
The board came and Vlitalo doubled up to over a million, it's not the first time he's managed to get lucky in a big pot. Early on Day 1 the Swede managed to get 55,000 in preflop with ace-six offsuit against the pocket jacks of Vladmir Geshkenbein and managed to spike there also. This is not to say he's been playing bad, he's chipped up well today but is perhaps less scared of wagering his entire stack than some of the other players.
Salvatore Donato has gone out, he went with in a blind on blind battle against Fabrice Soulier's but the Frenchman managed to hit the river of a board to knock out the Italian.
Alexandre Andermatt of Switzerland is our new chip leader after dispatching of Nicolas Chouity.
Another of the big stacks, Balazs Botond, informed us that Andermatt raised, Chouity three-bet , Andermatt responded with a four-bet then called when the 2010 EPT Grand Final winner moved all in on him.
Chouity:
Andermatt:
The first two cards saw Chouity take the lead as they were the and but the third card on the flop was the ! The turn gave Chouity some more outs to the chop but they failed to materialise because the river was the and that as they say was that.
Chouity's exit not only propelled Andermatt to the status of chip leader with 1,320,000 chips but it also means David Vamplew is the only remaining former EPT Champion in the field.
Walter Blattler has been eliminated by Ramin Hajiyev, the Swiss player held but was dominated by his opponent's and that was the way it stayed on a board of
