Selbst Doubles Up

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The pot was opened by Akin Tuna from Germany and Jonathan Little called in the small blind as did Vanessa Selbst in the big blind. It was fireworks on the flop of {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} as Tuna continued and when Little folded Selbst shoved and got a call. Selbst had {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for the flopped set with Tuna showing {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Big double up for Selbst and Tuna is left short.

Olivier Busquet Busquet Getting Short

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Olivier Busquet is down to around 100,000 in chips after getting pushed off a couple of pots. In the first he raised to 20,000 and then called in position when Oleksii Khoroshenin three-bet to 51,000 from the small blind. A continuation bet on the {3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Spades} flop was enough to give the Ukrainian the pot.

The Busquet raised to 16,000 and got calls from both Dimitar Danchev and Bryn Kenney. On the {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop Busquet bet 25,000, Danchev passed and Kenney check-raised to 68,000. It only took Busquet a matter of seconds to muck his hand.

Dimitar Danchev Dusted in 20th Place (€20,700)

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Dimitar Danchev
Dimitar Danchev

Oleksii Khoroshenin opened under the gun to 16,000 and right next to him sat Heinzelmann who made the call. Action folded to Dimitar Danchev in the big blind and he announced to be all in. Khoroshenin folded instantaneously but Heinzelmann made the call after hearing it was 342,000.

Heinzelmann was behind with his {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}, dominated by Danchev's {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. The flop gave Heinzelmann four new outs on top of the three solid outs he already had: {Q-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. The ten Heinzelmann was looking for on the flop, Danchev was wanting after the {A-Spades} hit the turn. A ten would now deliver a split pot but they would stay in the deck: {7-Spades} on the river.

Dimitar Danchev went on his way to the pay out desk, Heinzelmann stacking chips.

Tuna: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

Olivier Busquet

Down to just 96,000 Olivier Busquet moved all-in over the top of Bryn Kenney's open raise of 16,000. After getting a count Kenney weighed up his options and then flicked in the call.

Busquet: {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Kenney: {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board kept Busquet's in front and he doubled to 225,000, whilst Kenney drops to 900,000.

Jonathan Little Eliminated in 19th Place (€20,700)

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Jonathan Little
Jonathan Little

Anirudh Seth had cold four- bet Jonathan Little’s three-bet of an opener. Back around to Little who moved all in for just over 200,000. Seth clarified the approximate amount before saying “I don’t mind.” and made the call with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Little tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and was ahead, just, but at risk. The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts} the river delivering the killer blow.

Ami Barer Eliminated in 18th Place (€20,700)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Ami Barer
Ami Barer

Stanislav Barshak opened the button to 16,000 and Max Heinzelmann three bet the small blind to 45,000. Ami Barer in the big blind, who just had a lucky split pot where his hand was dominated but five spades on the board made a flush for both, shoved all in. Barshak
folded but Heinzelmann made the call.

Barer was in good shape holding {A-Spades}{K-Spades} as Heinzelmann turned over {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. The {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop was already pretty scary for Barer but the {4-Clubs} made it totally unbearable. Barer needed a five for the split pot or a king for the win but would fall short with the {J-Spades} on the river.

Thomas Muhlocker
Thomas Muhlocker

Play was five handed on the table containing Bryn Kenney and Thomas Muhlocker, it folded to the former in the small blind, he made it 32,000 and Muhlocker called. On the {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} flop Kenney bet 47,000 and Muhlocker smooth called. The {3-Diamonds} turn was checked through and the {K-Diamonds} completed the board. First to act Kenney fired out a bet of 73,000, Muhlocker then raised to 215,000 and after thinking it through Kenney made the call. The Austrian rolled over {A-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for the nuts and Kenney mucked his hand.
