Four players limped pre flop to see {9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} appear. Dominik Nitsche led for 700 from the small blind and only Todd Terry called to the {k-Clubs} turn. Nitsche check-folded to a 2,000 bet and was shown {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} by Terry.

The loudest table in the room is table 3 and the banter is being led by Griffin Benger. He did interrupt a story for a milli-second to raise to 500 from early position. Every folded and he took the blinds and antes.

  • Vojtech Ruzicka and Dominik Nitsche had made it to the river where their board rested as {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Nitsche checked from the small blind to face a 9,650 bet. He begrudgingly folded.
  • A moment later Martin Jacobson was betting 10,200 on the river of a {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} board. His bet came from the small blind and a call came from Imed Mahmoud in the cut-off. Jacobson opened {j-Spades}{10-Spades} but lost out to Mahmoud's {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

No Way Out For Heitmann

Team Pro Jan Heitmann just ended up all in with no chance to win the pot. When we arrived on the scene the flop showed {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Heitmann bet 1,200 from the small blind. Faraz Jaka was seated to Heitmann's left and he raised it up to 2,700 after which Alex Mos called on the button. Heitmann then proceeded to three-bet to 6,000 and Jaka folded. Mos moved all in right away and Heitmann called reluctantly.

"Well that beats me," Heitmann laughed as he was drawing dead. The turn brought the {6-Clubs} and the river the {K-Clubs} to give Mos a double up. We suspect that Mos had lost a lot of chips previously against Jason Lavallee who's sitting to his left with around 80,000 chips.

There is a lot of chatter occurring at the table that includes Scott Seiver, Mike McDonald and JC Alvarado.

Seiver was trying to make the game limp or fold pre flop and then changed his mind and said it should be Limit pre flop and No Limit post flop. Nik Persuad added another dimension by saying the flop play should be Pot Limit on the flop and No Limit from the tun onwards. As yet the rules have yet to be changed.

Silence did ensue whilst McDonald and Seiver played out a hand until the end. McDonald raised the button and emptied his clip with bets of 575, 1,525 and 3,225. The final board rested as {6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Seiver check-called all the way. When McDonald bet the river Seiver said, "No justice."

Seiver already had his cards touching the muck as he inevitably knew that McDonald would turn over a hand like {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a flush.

The atmosphere in a $10,000 High Roller event is always a bit more relaxed but the play is also more agressive. Sorel Mizzi just raised to 525, Kai Vater three-bet to 1,050 and Griffin Benger four-bet to 2,750. All of this happened in the blink of an eye and Pavel Binar followed it up with a five-bet to 7,700. All other players folded and the Czech player took down this agressive preflop pot.

After getting back up to around 28,000 chips Alex Mos just lost another big pot to knock him down to just 6,125 chips. The flop read {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades} when Gautam Sabharwal checked to Ronny Voth who bet 1,700. Mos raised it up to 5,400, Sabharwal made the call and Voth folded his cards.

On the turn the {5-Hearts} hit and both players checked. The river brought the {2-Spades} and Sabharwal lead out for 11,000. Mos was not happy but he did make the call after about 30 seconds. Sabharwal showed {9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Mos was frustrated as he flashed his {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.
