The ICM expert at the table wasted no time in finding and taking a good spot to shove.
Julian Thomas three-bet all in for 1,715,000 after Daniel-Gai Pidun opened to 240,000 from under the gun. Pidun didn't have the goods to call but he did get a walk the very next hand.

Roman Korenev raised to 240,000 under the gun after which the action was folded to Daniel-Gai Pidun. Pidun three-bet from the button to 775,000 and Roman Herold gave up his small blind quickly. Julian Thomas went into the tank for a while from the big blind but eventually he folded. Korenev snap-folded and Pidun picked up the pot.
On the very next hand Thomas moved all in from the button and both blinds folded.
As expected, the first all in and call didn't take long in coming.
Pascal Vos moved all in from under the gun for 1,410,000 and saw Roman Korenev move all in as well from the cut-off.

Robert Haigh raised from the cutoff to 240,000 and Lasse Frost called from the small blind. The flop brought out and both players checked. On the turn the hit and Forst picked up the pot with a 300,000-chip bet.
Short stacks have to shove to have any hope, just ask the Romans.
First up, Roman Korenev shoved for 945,000 from early position to take the blinds and antes. The next hand it was Roman Herold moving all in from the small blind. His 2,500,000 move got through.
Roman Herold raised from the button to 240,000 and Julian Thomas three-bet to 490,000. Roman Korenev quickly folded after which Herold double checked his cards before throwing them towards the muck. Thomas took another pot down but he's still one of the short stacks.
The next time Roman Korenev was all in he was out the door, and he'll be hating pocket jacks from now on. He couldn't beat them before and now they couldn't hold for him.
Alexander Helbig raised to 240,000 from under the gun and called when the Russian moved all in for 1,105,000 from the small blind.
