James Mitchell has been relatively quiet thus far playing on the feature table, but just now got involved in a hand with Glen Cymbaluk that resulted in the pair creating a 1 million-chip pot.
The pot was up around 300,000 by the turn with the board showing when Cymbaluk checked from middle position, Mitchell bet 125,000, Cymbaluk raised to 300,000, and Mitchell called.
Both then checked the river, and when Cymbaluk showed , Mitchell mucked.
Joe Mouawad raised to 55,000 from middle position and Franck Kalfon moved all in for 401,000 from late position. Mouawad took about three minutes and then made the call.
Remi Castaignon had a great first hour today on Day 5 to push up over 3.3 million and into the chip lead. But he's just given a few back to Noel Gaens after the latter scored a double up through the Frenchman.
The hand began with Castaignon raising to 50,000 from middle position, then watching Gaens push all in for 675,000 from a couple of seats over. It folded back to Castaignon who smiled at Gaens as he thought through his decision, clearly on the fence over whether or not to call.
Finally Castaignon did, showing to Gaens's . The flop came to give Gaens the lead in the hand, and after the turn and river Gaens picked up the pot.
The pair bumped fists after the hand. "You can afford it," said Gaens, and Remington continued to smile as he carved out the chips he owed.
