With a EPT Final Table (8th - EPT7 Snowfest) under his belt and lifetime earnings totaling more than $635,000, Morten Mortensen is a man with a lot of live experience. So the fact that he was motoring around the tournament room at breakneck pace looking a little flustered, some 15 minutes before the start of the tournament suggested something was up.
Turns out he's still in the Mini FPS event having made Day 2 with a short stack, but he's also due to play Day 1A of the PokerStars.fr European Poker Tour Main Event. He wanted to get confirmation from Tournament Director Thomas Lamatsch over what his options were. "Your chips will not go into play until you pick up your seat assignment," explained Lamatsch. "So you win the Mini FPS you can play Day 1B, you bust out in 15 minutes you can play Day 1A."
"I like the first option better," said Mortensen with a smile and with that he wandered off to find his seat in the Mini FPS.
