Kabrhel Doubles with Aces

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Charlie Carrel limped in from the cutoff seat. Martin Kabrhel was on the button and slid 8,000 forward with a little under 50,000 behind. Both blinds folded, and Carrel tanked for a bit before tossing in four 25,000 chips to put Kabrhel all in. Kabrhel double checked his cards, then moved a small stack of T100 chips in to indicate the call. Carrel showed the {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and was trailing Kabrhel's {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}.

The flop was {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, just about sealing the deal for Kabrhel. The {K-Spades} on the turn made it official, and the {7-Diamonds} on the river was there just for good measure. Karbhel doubled to just over 100,000, while Carrel is still up for the day with about 260,000.

Top Pair, Top Kicker for Altergott

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

On the {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop, Max Altergott and Dong Kim put in 20,000 chips each in unknown action before seeing the {K-Hearts} land on the turn. Altergott was first and checked, then Kim checked behind.

The river was the {5-Clubs}, and Altergott checked. Kim bet 35,000, and Altergott check-raised to 95,000. Kim called, but could only muck his hand when he saw Altergott's {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for top pair, top kicker.

After a raise to an unknown amount, Pratyush Buddiga reraised on the bottom to 12,000. Martin Jacobson, winner of the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event, reraised to 32,000 from the big blind, and the original raiser folded. Buddiga thought about his decision, then called.

The flop was {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, and both players checked to see the {2-Hearts} land on the turn. Jacobson bet 42,000, and Buddiga called to see the river.

The {4-Clubs} completed the board, and Jacobson moved all in for around 175,000. Buddiga gave it up, and Jacobson won the pot.

A Colorful Duo

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Ole Schemion and Charlie Carrel are near the top when it comes to the most colorfully dressed poker players in the game today, and today they are seated next to each other.

In a recent hand, we caught the end of the action with the board reading {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Carrel checked, and Schemion bet 44,000. Carrel took his shades off right away to study the action, but eventually folded, and Schemion won the pot.
