Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

There aren't as many all in situations anymore, only Yingui Li has been eliminated recently.

Jason Mercier raised to 4,800 and then folded to the shove of Byron Kaverman for another 25,000 on top while Mikita Badziakouski won a small pot with {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades} on the board {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. Table neighbor Sylvain Loosli had paid off the thin valuebet of the Belorussian.

The Rise of the Vladimirs

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy has started well into Day 2 and already increased his stack significantly. Another Vladimir, fellow Russian too, with the last name of Dobrovolskiy also more than doubled up and has been responsible for the seat open of Armen Khachatryan.

Just now, Dobrovolskiy raised to 5,500 from under the gun and was called by Paul Newey in the big blind. The Brit checked the flop {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and then quickly let go when facing a continuation bet.

Nevanlinna Doubles Through Ekvardt

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

In a battle of Scandinavia, Emil Ekvardt had Jussi Nevanlinna all in and at risk for what looked like 64,000 preflop and showed the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Nevanlinna out his tournament life at risk with the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and was ready to leave after the flop came {7-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. However, the {9-Hearts} appeared on the turn and the {J-Hearts} river was already meaningless.

Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Yann Dion, Lee Markolt and Jeff Rossiter have already been eliminated a few minutes ago. The next to follow was Connor Drinan, who was crippled after a three-bet jam against Sebastian Pauli with pocket sixes. The EPT11 London champion had pocket kings and doubled up for 58,000 before Drinan lost the rest with {A-}{J-} against the {4-}{8-} of Ivan Luca in the big blind.

No Joy for Those Three

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Jonathan Roy jammed from the hijack for 37,000 with {A-}{8-} and both players in the blinds wake up with pocket jacks. The board ran out king-high and that was it for the Canadian. Christopher Frank and Jonathan Little have also been eliminated as well.

Chip and a Chair for Zinno

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

In a battle of the blinds, the two short stacks Byron Kaverman and Anthony Zinno got their stacks in and Kaverman was at risk with the {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Zinno was behind preflop with {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} but improved on the flop [10c,8d,6s|. The {A-Diamonds} turn didn't change much before the {J-Hearts} appeared on the river to restore the preflop order.

Ilari Sahamies
Ilari Sahamies

Finnish high-stakes online legend Ilari Sahamies, who only registered for the event his morning, has just doubled up.

He got it in dominated with the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} versus {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, but four spades on a king-high board made him a flush to avoid elimination.

Jattin Avoids Elimination

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Farid Jattin started with a decent stack but that vanished rather quickly. Just now he was all in for his last 49,000 chips with the {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and table neighbor Pascal Hartmann looked him up with the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. The flop {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{K-Diamonds} changed nothing whatsoever while the {9-Diamonds} turn indeed opened the opportunity for a flush. The dealer then burned and turned the {5-Diamonds} on the river and that completed the unlikely flush to keep Jattin in the tournament.

Ike Leaves Chidwick Short; Chidwick Just Leaves

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Team PokerStars Team Online member Isaac Haxton took his time about it, but eventually called a Stephen Chidwick 5,500-chip under the gun open from sitting in the small blind. The big blind also called and they went three-way to a {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop.

Haxton and the big checked, allowing Chidwick to continue for 5,000. Only Haxton called, and when the turn came the {2-Hearts}, he took the lead, sliding in a stack of blue amounting to some 45,000.

Left with just 26,200 behind and a decision for his tournament life, Chidwick folded. He left the table immediately after the hand, having been moved to a new one.
