Vogelsang and Adams Double

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Bryn Kenney raised and then four-bet shoved into the three-bet of Christoph Vogelsang. The German, who had squeezed to 85,000 out of the small blind, snap-called for a total of 377,000 and held the superior pocket pair.

Vogelsang: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Kenney: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

There was no help on the board {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Kenney lost more than one third of his stack.

Timothy Adams was a bit more tricky and just flat-called a raise to 26,000 by Igor Kurganov. On the {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, Adams check-raised from 18,000 to 45,000 and then shoved the {5-Hearts} turn for 125,000. Kurganov called and found himself in bad shape with top pair.

Adams: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Kurganov: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}

A blank {2-Diamonds} turn changed nothing whatsoever and Adams doubled up his short stack.
