Philipp Gruissem, Rocco Palumbo and Felix Bleiker signed up for the High Roller event and the latter got into a hand with Stefan Jedlicka right after sitting down.

Jedlicka raised to 750 from under the gun and Bleiker three-bet to 2,350 from one seat over. Jedlicka called and the flop of {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} was checked through. On the {2-Clubs} turn, Jedlicka checked and Bleiker took down the pot with a delayed continuation bet of 3,500.

Veghinas Flops Well, Gets Paid

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

Niall Farrell defended his small blind against the raise of Sebastian Veghinas and checked the flop of {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Veghinas continued for 1,200 and was called before Farrell checked again the {2-Spades} turn. Veghinas now bet 5,000 and again Farrell called.

After the {6-Diamonds} river, Farrell checked for a third time. Veghinas bet 18,000 and received the call he wanted to show {K-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the nut straight. Farrell briefly flashed pocket tens and said "I didn't think you were bluffing, but I am not folding tens," to drop a decent portion of his stack.

Palumbo Runs Into Aces

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

The board was still showing {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} of Aymon Hata secured the pot, while the hole cards of Rocco Palumbo were already in the muck. According to Jorryt van Hoof it was a three-bet pot between Palumbo and Hata that was checked on the flop. On the turn, Hata bet and Palumbo called before Hata checked the river and snap-called the shove of the Italian, who only had pocket tens.

Bluff Gone Wrong; Fast Shoves Into Drinan's Nuts

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante
Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Preflop Dietrich Fast reraised to 2,800 from the button, and only Connor Drinan in the cutoff called.

Flop came down {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and players checked through to the turn; {Q-Diamonds}.

Drinan lead for 3,500 and received a call from Fast, and together they saw the river complete the four-flush with {9-Diamonds}.

After 30 seconds of thinking Drinan decided on a massive bet of 15,000, and that put Fast into the deep tank. After a few minutes of deliberation the German shipped it all over the line, and after double checking his hole cards, Drinan called and turned over the nut flush {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

Fast tried to muck his hand, but Drinan requested to have it shown, and eventually saw Fast making a move holding {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

"You Can't Win 'Em All, It's Not Pokemon"

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

On a board reading {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} Song Hun Lee thought long and hard about the 6,000 chips bet from Martin Finger in a pot of 4,500. The clock was called on Lee, who ultimately threw in the two chips with 30 seconds to spare, only to see Finger's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} scoop the pot.

"Well, you can't win them all. It's not Pokemon", Jason Wheeler spurted out from the other end of the table, which gave some of the players a good chuckle.

Either way Lee is doing fine for himself in this tournament. The Canadian is still sitting on a stack of 75,000.

Luo Folds Twice; Veghinas Builds Stack

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Xiaoyang Luo recently entered the competition and was just involved in two hands that saw his stack drop slightly.

Hand 1

Luo raised to 1,000 in the hijack and Konstantinos Nanos three-bet to 2,350 in the cutoff, Luo called. On the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop both checked. The {3-Spades} appeared on the turn and Luo checked, Nanos bet 2,850 and that forced a fold from the Chinese.

Hand 2

Luo opened and received four callers in Michiel Broskij on the button, Sebastian Veghinas in the small blind and Pratyush Buddiga in the big blind. The {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop saw no betting action and Buddiga then bet the {10-Clubs} turn for 4,000. Luo called, Broskij folded and Veghinas then check-raised to 14,000. That forced two folds and the next hand was dealt, this then included Tom-Aksel Bedell who started his adventure by playing music on the iPad before connecting it with the headphones.

Scholten Folds in Raising War

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

A reraise to 5,100 was in front of Charlie Carrel and Freek Scholten, who made a deep run in the Main Event and finished 36th, squeezed to 8,400. Once the action was back on Carrel, the Brit made it 16,000 to go and Scholten eventually folded.

Scholten had previously received a reminder by Benny Spindler to put his biggest stacks in front for everybody to see, which is now no issue anymore.
