Welcome to the PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague and Day 1 of the €2,200 EPT National High Roller which is scheduled to start at noon local time here at the Hilton Prague.

The defending champion is Alexandro Tricarico from Belgium who beat Canada’s Hani Bahna heads-up for €204,500. As the fields in the other tournaments here in Prague this year have been bigger than previous years, the expectations is that it won’t be any different in this tournament. Last year, 627 players flocked to the poker tables, and with a single reentry possibility, it will be highly likely that that number will be beaten.

Players will receive 30,000 in chips in return for their €2,200 buyin and play 40-minute levels. A 20-minute break is scheduled after every three levels with a 75-minute dinner break after the ninth level of play today. The late registration period closes at 6 PM local time which also means that is the time till when players can do their one reentry that is allowed.
