Salman Doubles Through Benitez

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Start-of-day chipleader Huesnue Salman has just found a double through Francisco Benitez as the final three tables started to play once more.

Benitez raised to 115,000 from middle position and saw Salman moved all in for around 900,000 from the cutoff, which Benitez called after the rest of the players folded.

Huesnue Salman: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Francisco Benitez: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Board: {k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Salman hit one of his overcards on the flop when he paired his ace and held as the board completed to switch chip stacks with Benitez.

Jan van der Stroom Eliminated in 24th Place (€12,600)

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jan van der Stroom
Jan van der Stroom

The action folded around to Jan van der Stroom on the button, and he moved his short stack into the middle. Marian Virlanuta was in the small blind and called before the big blind player folded.

Jan van der Stroom: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Marian Virlanuta: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Board: {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Van der Stroom had picked up a premium hand at the worst possible time as he ran into pocket aces. Virlanuta had no sweat on the board and shook the Dutchman's hand as he departed in 24th place.

Benitez Doubles Through Sun

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Francisco Benitez raised and faced a three-bet by Liwei Sun to 500,000, Benitez shoved and Sun called.

Benitez had the best of it preflop with {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} as Sun only held {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, and the board came {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades} to let Benitez double once more.

Savinelli Doubles as [Removed:290] Left With One Single Chip

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

After the action folded around to Carlo Savinelli in the cutoff, he moved all in. Two folds later and [Removed:289] was the only player left with a decision to make. He thought for a while and had the clocked called on him. Once the tournament director informed him he had 30 seconds left to act, he sheepishly made the call.

Carlo Savinelli: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
[Removed:289]:{a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Board: {4-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Savinelli had [Removed:290]'s hand dominated, and the board kept it that way to secure Savinelli a full double up.

After the chip counts were confirmed [Removed:290] was left with just one single green 25k chip, enough for one small blind, which he immediately put to use in the next hand.

Brian Kaufman raised, and Guoliang Wei moved all in from the button before Kaufman folded. Wei then had a showdown with [Removed:290] for the side pot. Wei tabled {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, and [Removed:290] showed {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. The board came down {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades} to give [Removed:290] a full house and his 25,000 stack was increased to 150,000 as the players went on break.

Matthias Tikerpe moved all in for 470,000 and Milad Oghabian from one seat over asked for a count, then reshoved to isolate successfully.

Matthias Tikerpe: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Milad Oghabian: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Both suits were covered by Oghabian with the superior pocket pair, and the board of {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts} provided no help for the Estonian, who departed in 23rd place for €15,100.
