€1,100 EPT National

Day 1c Started

The Final Starting Flight of the €1,100 EPT National Begins at 7 p.m.

EPT Prague

There is no doubt that the €1,100 EPT National will attract the largest amount of entries throughout the 2019 PokerStars EPT Prague festival. Over the first two starting flights, over 1,800 entries have already been recorded. Tonight, Day 1c is set to get underway as the third and final starting flight and the last chance for players to bag a stack and reach the money.

Yesterday, Day 1a attracted 624 entries with 94 players making it through to Day 2. Day 1b is currently taking place with a total of 1,199 entries but late registration is still open in that flight. Leading the pack after the first completed flight is Andrew Hulme who bagged up a whopping 551,000 chips. That number will be tough to catch in tonight's rendition with the level duration being cut in half.

The action is slated to get underway at 7 p.m. local time inside the ballrooms of the Hilton Prague. Each player will be given a starting stack of 30,000 chips and the blinds will begin at 100/100. The levels for the turbo version on Day 1c will be 20 minutes in length with a 20-minute break after every six levels.

This will be the one and only chance for those players that have failed to find a bag in the previous flights. Only one entry will be allowed although late registration will remain open until the start of level 9. The action will continue throughout the evening until just 15% of the field remains. All of those players that make it through to Day 2 will be in the money.

Pulliainen Boats Up on River

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Preflop action saw five players each put in 600 before a flop of {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{a-Clubs} was spread across the felt. Stylianos Kollatos saw action checked to him in the hijack and put out a bet of 1,600, which only Henri Pulliainen check-called from the small blind.

Both remaining players checked the turn {k-Diamonds} and the dealer brought the river {10-Spades}. Pulliainen threw out a bet of 6,300 and Kollatos took less than 10 seconds to drop in a chip to call.

Pulliainen quickly turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} for a rivered full house, good to earn him the pot as Kollatos turned over a second-best {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, showing he had flopped a flush only to find it be no good upon the completion of the hand.

Herfellner Puts in a River Raise

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

There was 4,000 in the middle with the board reading {j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} with heads up action as the big blind threw out a bet of 2,500 to put action onto Christian Herfellner, who was in the cutoff. Herfellner thought for around a minute and then put out a total of 8,000.

"Raise," said the dealer, confirming the action. The big blind quickly sent his cards to the muck and Herfellner saw the pot shipped his way.

Sow Goes for Value

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Kalidou Sow raised to 300 on the button and the big blind defended. The flop came {10-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} and both players checked to the {8-Diamonds} on the turn.

The big blind checked and Sow tossed in a bet of 300. His opponent called and the {3-Hearts} completed the board. The big blind checked for the third time and Sow deliberated before making a bet of 400.

His opponent went into the tank for a bit and Sow engaged in some table talk. "It's a value bet," he stated. "Two pair?" he asked his opponent.

"Ya, I have two pair," he responded. He made the call and Sow turned over {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} to claim the pot.
