Two Players Eliminated on the Bubble

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action folded around to Euan McNicholas in the small blind who moved all in for 26,000 effective. Tibor Szenasi was in the big blind and called for his tournament life.

Tibor Szenasi: {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Euan McNicholas: {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Szenasi had McNicholas dominated however the flop came {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} to put Szenasi way behind. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the river the {j-Diamonds} which ensured Szenasi would be eliminated on the bubble.

On another table Fadil Isufi was also eliminated meaning he would also bubble and not be making it to Day 2.

Andras Nemeth

Tournament crusher Andras Nemeth leads the final 34 players at the end of Day 1d of the £1,100 UKIPT Main Event at PokerStars European Poker Tour London at the Hilton Park Lane hotel.

Nemeth is an experienced tournament professional and often seen playing in the high stakes with over $5,000,000 in tournament cashes to his name. The Hungarian is second on his national all time money list according to Hendon Mob and bagged a huge 615,000 chips. Nemeth will be in a great position to claim some of the huge $1,400,000 prize purse. Others who bagged big include Gabriel Shohet (533,000), Mete Ustuay (432,000) and Christopher Day (378,000).

Other notables who bagged included Punnat Punsri (252,00), Paul Tedeschi (249,000), Jack Sinclair (193,000) and former EPT Main Event champion Roberto Romanello (128,000).

The field dwindled down quickly after late registration closed with the bubble eventually being burst when Euan McNicholas moved Tibor Szenasi all in for his tournament life with only one big blind left in his stack. It would be a night to forget for Szenasi as he had McNicholas's eight seven dominated by his queen eight but the seven on the flop sent him home with nothing.

The 34 who survived will join the survivors from flights 1a, 1b and 1c to return tomorrow for Day 2 at 12:00 p.m. local time on Thursday 20th October to battle for the prizepool. The blinds will extend to 60-minute in length which will present plenty of play for the remaining players.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for all the remaining action as our live reporting will continue until a champion is crowned on Saturday 22nd October live here at EPT London.
