Roussey Gets River Value

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action began on the flop in a three-way pot with about 10,000 in the middle. The flop showed {9-Spades}{a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Yehoshua Levy led for 4,000 from the small blind. Quentin Roussey made the call in the cutoff and Danut Chisu folded the button.

The turn came the {2-Diamonds}. Levy led once more, 5,000 on the turn. Again, Roussey made the call.

The river brought the very-connecting {5-Diamonds} leading Levy to check the final street. After some thought, Roussey went for a bet of 14,500. Levy decided to go for the call.

Roussey showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for top pair. Levy groaned and tossed his cards in face down to give Roussey the pot.

Scobai Wins One From the Big Blind

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Felix Schneiders opened to 1,400 from early position. Vincas Tamasauskas three-bet from two seats over to 4,500. Action folded to Ion Silviu Scobai who cold-called. Schneiders also made the call.

The flop was {9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Scobai and Schneiders checked, Tamasauskas continued for 3,000. Scobaia check-raised just over the minimum to 7,000. Schneiders folded, but Tamasauskas called.

The turn brought the {7-Hearts}. Scobai bet 7,000 again, representing more than half of Tamasauskas' stack. After some thought, Tamasauskas let it go without committing more.

Noske Check-Raises Two Players

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action began as three players went to a flop in a three-bet pot. The flop came out {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

From early position, Thomas Noske checked. Georges Yazbeck bet 5,000 from middle position. In late position, Jelínek Václav called that bet.

Back on Noske, he moved all in. He had both players covered, so it was close to 34,000 effective. They each gave it some thought, but they both folded, with Václav revealing {a-}{k-} as he did so.

Arnault Pressures Smaller Stack

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

In a heads-up pot, Michael Pinto was in position and looking at a {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board with about 12,000 in the pot.

Olivier Arnault had checked the flop, and Arnault bet 5,200, about a quarter of his stack. After some deliberation, Arnault threw out 15,000 as a check-raise. Pinto didn't like it, and after some squirming, he let his cards go.

Noske Extracts Value From Nader

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action began on the turn in a heads-up pot between two table big stacks. The board read {3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

Thomas Noske led for 5,000 into about 13,000 from the small blind. Alfred Nader made the call from the cutoff.

The river brought another king, the {k-Diamonds}. Noske repeated the same bet, 5,000 on the river.

Nader thought for 45 seconds before he started talking. "I want to see what you have," he said as he tossed in a chip. "Of course you win."

Noske showed {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for the winner.

"Maybe, maybe you were bluffing," said Nader as he released his cards.

Vodak Adds More, Eliminates One

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Luca Marchetti opened to 2,500 from the cutoff. The player on the button moved all in for about 16,000. From the big blind, Petr Vodak four-bet to about 35,000, causing Marchetti to release his cards and the remaining two headed to a runout.

All-in player: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}
Petr Vodak: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Vodak had his opponent dominated, and neither could improve on the [js9hjh2h4] runout, so Vodak took it down.
