Ferreira Eliminates Pineda

Level 17 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With the bubble fast approaching, Antti Maki-Franti opened to 8,000 from early position and Julian Pineda shoved his last 71,500 from the cutoff. Douglas Ferreira, on the button, asked for a count and upon realizing that he was barely eligible for Pineda's bounty, shoved for 72,500.

Action folded back to Maki-Franti, who repeatedly counted his chips and was visibly debating whether or not he should make the call for about two-thirds of his stack and chase a pair of bounties about 30 places from the bubble. Eventually, after almost two minutes, he made the fold.

Julian Pineda: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Douglas Ferreira: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Ferreira was slightly ahead as the two players were flipping for their stacks. The flop came {6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} to keep Ferreira in front.

The {9-Clubs} arrived on the turn, which gave the Brazilian a set of nines and eliminated Pineda. The {j-Spades} completed the board and Ferreira collected Pineda's bounty.

Fischer Up to 1.25 Million and Seven Bounties, Wins Kings vs. Queens

Level 18 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Manuel Fischer
Manuel Fischer

With just four players before the bubble bursts, Manuel Fischer opened to 30,000 from the cutoff and Gheorghe Butuc three-bet to 75,000 from the small blind. Fischer, the tournament chip leader, moved all in. Butuc had around 200,000 behind and took his time before the clock was called. Eventually, as the floor counted down from ten, the Moldovan made the call.

Gheorghe Butuc: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Manuel Fischer: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Butuc was floored when he realized he was miles behind as Fischer tabled pocket kings against his pocket queens.

The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}, giving Fischer a set of queens and Butuc was drawing nearly dead.

The bounty was clinched when the {6-Clubs} arrived on the turn. The {2-Clubs} completed the board and Butuc was eliminated near the stone bubble.

The win made Fischer the first player in the room to go over one million while he also collected his seventh bounty of the day.

Level 18 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Vladislav Solovev opened to 11,000 from the hijack and Henrik Hecklen called from the small blind.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and both players tapped the table.

On the {6-Hearts} turn, Hecklen fired for 11,000 and Solovev would assess his options before making the call.

On the {a-Clubs} river, Hecklen checked over to Solovev, who needed about 90 seconds before putting out 29,000. As soon as his chips hit the felt, Hecklen chucked his cards into the muck.
