The 2022 PokerStars and Barcelona©Casino European Poker Tour has arrived at its mid-way point and continues with the second flight of the €2,200 Estrellas Poker Tour High Roller, which is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. local time.

The two-day High Roller event is scheduled to be a big one, especially after the €1,100 ESPT Main Event drew a record-breaking 6,313 entrants, making it the largest live event in PokerStars history. That event is currently down to just three players, with Rick van Bruggen holding a commanding lead over Jack Sinclair and Simon Bouaksa.

Just like the first flight, the ESPT High Roller will begin with blinds of 100/200/200 as players get a starting stack of 30,000 chips. However, instead of 40-minute levels, the second flight will use a hyper-turbo 20-minute level format. Players will receive a 15-minute break after every six levels and late registration closes at the end of Level 10. Players will be able to buy back in as often as they would like until that time.

Approximately 15% of the field will get paid, with the winner receiving the trophy, the glory, and a beautiful payday. The first flight has seen nearly 1,400 entries at the time of publication, with that flight currently at the beginning of Level 9.

Szczytowski Gets Paid After Flopping Straight

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

There was already about 15,000 in the middle with the board reading {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Wojciech Szczytowski, from the button, had put in a bet of around 12,500.

David Breitwieser, in the cutoff, thought about his decision for some time before finally making the call.

Szczytowski was quick to flip over {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, taking down the pot after having flopped a straight.

Da Silva Flops Full House, Gets Full Double

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Giorgio Tonin Prestes Da Silva opened for 600 from early position and was called by Daniel Smyth in the small blind and Thomas Rauhut in the big blind.

The flop came {2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Da Silva continued for 500. Smyth got out of the way and Rauhut called.

Om the {9-Spades} turn, Da Silva sized up to 2,000 and Rauhut quickly called.

The river brought the {4-Hearts} and Rauhut lead out for 3,000. Da Silva took about 20 seconds before moving all in for around 22,500 and Rauhut snapped it off.

Da Silva showed {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for the flopped full house, beating Rauhut's flopped trips with {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

Rauhut was left with 2,800 following the hand and busted shortly after.
