Zormati Gets One Over on Spasov

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

With about 1,000 in the pot on a {3-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} board, Mohammed Zormati checked from early position to Simeon Spasov in middle position, who bet around 600. Zormati raised to 2,700 and the Bulgarian called.

On the {a-Spades} turn, Zormati continued for 2,700 more. Spasov, once again, made the call.

On the {j-Spades} river, Zormati fired a third barrel, this time for 6,000. After brief deliberation, Spasov made the fold.

Farras Flops Trips, Eliminates Akin

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

After Tilo Thomsen opened to 1,200 from early position, Jimmy De Barros Livramento called from the cutoff and Jordi Jaumot Farras flatted from the button. Ayka Akin three-bet to 4,400 from the big blind and only Farras called.

On the {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} flop, Akin continued for 12,500 of his 19,500 total. Farras quickly moved all in, covering Akin.

Akin sheepishly thought for about 30 seconds before tossing in his remaining chips and finding out the bad news.

Ayka Akin: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Jordi Jaumot Farras: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Farras had flopped trips against Akin's pocket queens and the Switzerland native needed a queen to stay alive.

However, the turn was the {8-Spades} and the river was the {8-Hearts}, giving Farras a full house and the victory.

Picek Spikes Ace, Doubles Up Through Farras

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Action was picked up as Juraj Picek was all in for his last 13,200 chips against Jordi Jaumot Farras.

Juraj Picek: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Jordi Jaumot Farras: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The Spaniard was in prime position to take his stack to over 90,000 but the flop came {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{a-Spades} to give Picek the surprise lead.

The {2-Diamonds} had Farras drawing to just two outs and the {6-Spades} completed the board, giving the Slovakian a much-needed double.

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Sefora-Emanuela Pop

With 17,500 in the pot on a {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} board, Jonathan Pigeon put in a bet of 10,000 from middle position, leaving himself with a hair under 10,000 behind.

Spanish model Sefora Pop, on the button, thought for about 10 or 15 seconds before making the call.

Pigeon threw his cards into the muck face down before Pop could show a winner. She slid her cards face down towards the dealer as she collected a pot that took her to around 60,000.

Ripan Forces Qu Fold, Over 60,000

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With 17,000 in the pot on a {3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} board, action checked over to Eric Qu in the cutoff, who put out a bet of 7,700 with roughly 16,000 behind.

Octavian Ripan, in the big blind, raised to 18,000, leaving himself with just 18,000. After Vincent Saint folded from under the gun, Qu took a minute to decide before eventually making the fold.

With the latest pot, the Belgian is now over twice the original starting stack.
