€1,100 FPS Main Event

Day 1d Started

Day 1d of €1,100 FPS Main Event Will Kick Off at 7 p.m.

EPT Monte Carlo
EPT Monte Carlo

The fourth and final flight of €1,100 FPS Main Event is slated to begin at 7 p.m. local time at the PokerStars European Poker Tour presented by Monte-Carlo Casino. Flight 1d was originally expected to start at 6 p.m. but has been pushed back by one hour in order to make room in the tournament areas due to larger than expected fields.

There are currently around 1,500 total entries through the first three flights, with registration still open for Day 1c. There were 55 players who bagged chips on Day 1a and another 41 advancing through Day 1b. Those that fortunate to make it through to Day 2 on April 30 will all be guaranteed a min-cash, the prize amount still to be determined. Either way, the eventual winner will be walking away with a nice payday as the prizepool has already surpassed the €1.5 million mark.

Because of the late start time for Day 1d and the quick turnaround time for Day 2, the final flight will be played as a turbo format with just 20-minute blind levels. Each player will be given a starting stack of 30,000 chips with the blinds starting at 100/100 and a 100 big blind ante.

There will be 15-minute breaks after every five levels with no dinner break taking place. Late registration for this event will officially be closed at the end of level 10. The players will continue throughout the night until just 15% of the field remains and the money bubble is burst. Day 2 will kick off at 12 p.m. noon tomorrow with the champion being crowned on Day 4.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates throughout the event, en route to crowning an eventual champion.

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante
Antony Darmani
Antony Darmani

The action folded to Antony Darmani in the small blind who made it 400 to go. Jean Zeitoun called from the big blind and the flop came {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}. Both players checked and the {2-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Darmani led out with a large bet of 1,500 and Zeitoun called to see the {2-Diamonds} on the river. Darmani fired out another bet of 3,100 this time but Zeitoun looked him up. Darmani showed {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} for a missed combo draw while Zeitoun held {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for the only pair.

Flynn Fills Up to Bust Hvam

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, Jamie Flynn checked from the big blind. Morten Hvam bet 7,000 on the button into a pot of around 9,000 and Flynn called.

The {3-Spades} paired the board on the river and Flynn shoved all in. Hvam had around 17,000 in front of him and made the call after a brief moment. Flynn flipped over {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a full house while Hvam was forced to show his {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a flush before he exited the tournament area.

Marchetti Calls Down Aceto

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Antony Marchetti opened to 500 from under the gun and Morgan Aceto three-bet to 1,800 from a couple of seats over. The action folded back to Marchetti who just called to see a flop of {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Both players checked and the {a-Clubs} landed on the turn. Marchetti checked again and Aceto tossed in a bet of 1,500. Marchetti thought for a minute before calling and the {3-Spades} completed the board.

Marchetti checked for the third time and Aceto put together a bet of 4,500. Marchetti called much faster this time and turned over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} for the winning hand.
