Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

The Day 1d field continues to grow but the pace has increased in the last 15 minutes. The Day 1c field has just returned from dinner break and as players are eliminated over there, they are quickly jumping into the last flight possible. The tournament staff is feverishly trying to open as many tables as possible to accommodate the new entries. The Day 1d field now sits at 223 entries with late registration open until the end of level 10.

Herzog Picks One Up on the Turn

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Max Hissou limped in from the cutoff and Anthony Faure raised to 2,500 in the small blind. Tal Herzog called from the big blind and Hissou came along as well.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked to Hissou who bet 2,500. Both Faure and Herzog called to see the {3-Diamonds} on the turn.

Faure checked again and Herzog splashed in a bet of 6,500. Hissou went into the tank for over a minute before laying his hand down and Faure quickly followed suit.

Delval Check-Shoves on the River

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A completed board of {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} was spread across the table with around 10,000 chips in the middle. Frederic Delval checked from the small blind and Nazar Buhaiov flicked in a pot-sized bet of 10,000 from the cutoff.

Delval thought for a moment and then check-raised all in. Buhaiov had just around 15,000 chips remaining and went into the tank for at least three minutes. He eventually decided to fold and Delval did him a favor by showing {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a set of sevens.

Aldemir Spikes a Three-Outer

Koray Aldemir just sat down in his seat for the first time tonight and wasted little time getting in on the action with a raise to 2,000 from under the gun. Filippo Lazzaretto shoved all in for 6,500 on his left and the action folded back to Aldemir who quickly called.

Filippo Lazzaretto: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Koray Aldemir: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

They both shared a laugh as Aldemir was pipped by one card heading to the {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop. "Split?" Aldemir asked as they both picked up a wheel draw.

The reigning WSOP Main Event champion got better than a split as the {a-Clubs} and {8-Clubs} runout gave him two pair to eliminate Lazzaretto.
