Sammartino Busts on Second Shove and Tomovic Claims Bounty

In the first of two consecutive hands, Dario Sammartino shoved all in preflop for 22,000 and was called by Aleksandar Tomovic on the button, who had Sammartino covered.

Sammartino had 5♦5♠ for a pocket pair of fives and Saleh had A♥K♠.

The board ran out 10♦J♣9♥8♠7♥ to put a straight on board and players split the pot.

The next hand, Sammartino shoved again for 24,500 and Aleksandar Tomovic moved all in over the top for 45,000. Mathieu His also called and had both players covered.

Commotion on Table 16

A floorman had been at table 16 for over five minutes when PokerNews arrived. Apparently, on a flop of 7♣K♠10♦, Mehdi Tafer had bet 6,000 from the small blind and Christopher Puetz called from the hijack. Yuan Li then jammed 22,000 from the button and Tafer called that bet.

After that, Puetz back-raised all in himself, for 45,000. Li and Puetz both claimed Tafer called, after which Puetz flipped his hand over. Tafer then claimed he did not call at all.

In a heated French discussion with the floor, he tabled his cards in an attempt to prove he did not want to call. The rest of the table, as well as the dealer, stayed adamant that he did and the ruling was that Tafer had to make the call, much to his disagreement.

He covered both players and the rest of the board was dealt out.

''Neuf,'' Tafer requested. However, a 2♦ turn was put in the middle instead. The river 7♠ gave Li a full house, and he celebrated in excitement. Meanwhile, Puetz raked in the side pot, which Tafer paid unhappily.

Kyte Busts, Garnero Triples Up, Petleshkov Earns Bounty

Charles-Henri Garnero open shoved all in for 21,000 and Jon Kyte got it in with a short stack but with Garnero covered. Viliyan Petleshkov also went all in and had both players covered.

The board ran out J♣7♣2♦4♦Q♣. That gave Garnero a pair of queens on the river and he tripled up. Petleshkov's pocket nines played for the side pot and he sent Kyte to the rail and earned his bounty token.

Both players expressed that they were happy with the outcome; Garnero thrilled to triple up and Petleshkov content to earn the bounty.

Around the room, dealers shouted out "Seat open," as more and more short stacks busted early.

[Removed:428] raised to 6,500 from late position, leaving just 20,000 chips behind. Jamie Flynn reraised to 15,000 from the button and Maloku called.

The flop came 9♣6♣Q♦. Maloku checked, Flynn bet for the rest of Maloku's stack and Maloku made the call.

Maloku showed K♥10♥ and Flynn showed A♦K♠.

The turn came the 2♦ and the river was the 3♦. Flynn held up with his ace high and king kicker and Maloku was eliminated.

Bouskila Busts Two

The hand was played until the turn when the action was caught. The board read 4♣6♠7♥A♣ and Sim Kok Wai had bet 22,000. Nacho Barbero was in the next seat over and made the call before his neighbor Michel Bouskila shoved all his chips in. He covered both of them with his 112,000 remaining chips.

Wai tanked for a while but eventually made the call. ''I know you have a set'', Barbero claimed, ''but I have to call'' and he put in his last chips.

Two pair for Wai and a combo draw for Barbero, but Bouskila was in the lead with his set of sevens. The river 7♦ gave him the unbeatable four of a kind and he collected two bounty chips for his effort.

Renzo Plozza Moreno raised to 6,000 from under the gun and Arthur Conan went all in from the hijack for 8,000. Alan Goasdoue called in the big blind and Moreno attempted to shove all in before realizing that he couldn't.

Action went to the flop, which came K♥3♥7♥. Goasdoue checked and Moreno moved all in. Goasdoue made the fold and players flipped their cards.
