Zaskodny Doubles Through Basiaga

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Lukas Zaskodny opened to 1,800 from the cutoff, but Bartlomiej Basiaga quickly three-bet to 6,000 from the small blind.

Zaskodny made the call, then called again when Basiaga continued with a bet of 5,000 on the K92 flop.

The 8 came on the turn, and Basiaga fired a second barrel of 13,000. After a few seconds, Zaskodny raised all in for 29,400. Basiaga went into the tank, and eventually called.

Lukas Zaskodny: 99
Bartlomiej Basiaga: AK

Basiaga called with top pair, but ran into Zaskodny's set. So after the river 3, Zaskodny doubled up.

Graells Wins Flip to Send Oleksandr to the Rail

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Ricardo Graells opened 2,000 under the gun, and Haievskyi Oleksandr jammed all-in for 20,600 in the hijack. The action folded back to Graells who paused for a few moments before shrugging as he made the call.

Haievskyi Oleksandr: AK
Ricardo Graells: 1010

It was a classic race and the 95356 runout was no help for Oleksandr as he exited the table.

Novotny Rivers Double Knockout

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Petr Novotny
Petr Novotny

After some preflop action, Niculina Grasu went all in for her final 8,000 chips from the big blind and found no less than three callers in Safwane Bahri under the gun, Petr Novotny on the button, and Luca Moschitta in the small blind.

Moschitta then created a side pot when he bet 4,500 on the 959 flop. Bahri quickly folded but Novotny stuck around with a call.

On the Q turn, Moschitta checked to Novotny, who made a bet of 5,000 in response. Moschitta then jammed all in for 18,800 and a swift call followed from Novotny, after which all three players revealed their holdings.

Niculina Grasu: 55
Luca Moschitta: AA
Petr Novotny: QJ

Grasu flopped a full house and was looking to quadruple up, while Moschitta was a big favorite for the side pot. The Q river, however, saw Novotny hit one of his two outs to scoop the pot.

His higher full house awarded him with a big stack of almost six figures, while both Grasu and Moschitta left the tournament in a state of disbelief.

Graells Shows Odani Kings

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Ricardo Graells opened to 2,000 from middle position and was three-bet to 4,500 by Takumi Odani in the hijack. Rene Keller called cold from the big blind and Graells called as well.

All three players checked on the 2Q7 flop and Keller checked again on the 8 turn. Graells bet 10,000, which got a call from Odani and a fold from Keller.

Action checked down on the 9 river and Graells tabled KK. Odani couldn't beat it and mucked — conceding the pot to Graells.

Martins Receives Lucky Double-Up

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Petr Novotny made a raise to 2,500 from the button before Rui Martins went all in for 26,500 from the small blind. Novotny looked him up with the covering stack and the pair showed down.

Rui Martins: A6
Petr Novotny: AQ

It was looking like Novotny would add another elimination to his tally, but Martins was the only one to flop a pair on 643. The J5 runout remained clean for him and he doubled up to more than a starting stack.

Meanwhile, Novotny was left with just over one starting stack himself, after having reached the 100,000-mark but a few hands before.
