Boguslavskiy Runs into Micallef's Aces

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Down to 21,500 chips, Maxim Boguslavskiy open-shoved from the button. Unfortunately for him, Matthew Micallef quickly called in the small blind, while the big blind folded.

Maxim Boguslavskiy: KJ
Matthew Micallef: AA

Boguslavskiy found a pair and a straight draw thanks to the 2K10 board and the turn Q. But the river 6 completed Micallef's nut flush, so Boguslavskiy was eliminated.

Kolarik Forced to Play with Hand Face Up

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy opened 5,500 under the gun and the action folded around to Tomas Kolarik in the small blind who tossed 8,000 across the line.

The big blind folded, and Kolarik didn't notice the original raise, tabling his AA. The floor was called to the table and ruled Kolarik must raise to 8,500 and continue the hand with his cards face up. Troyanovskiy called.

The dealer spread a flop of Q86, and Kolarik dropped two chips across the line for a bet of 10,000, which was enough to win the pot.

Karl Cooked by the River

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Nicola Karl was already all in on the Q1026 turn, but there was still action between Fabio Muhr and Marin Prvan.

Muhr bet 18,000 into the pot of about 50,000, and Prvan raised to 39,000. Muhr tanked for about a minute before tossing his hand into the muck.

Nicola Karl: 55
Marin Prvan: AK

Karl stood up from the table as he rolled over his hand, but was pleasantly surprised when he saw he was ahead. However, that feeling didn't last long as the dreaded A peeled off on the river, sending him out of the tournament.

Stroulis' Mistake Punished

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Marin Prvan opened to 6,500 from middle position, and he was called by Dylan Lambert on the button. Then in the small blind, Konstantinos Stroulis "wanted to raised to 22,000", but "was confused" so he only raised to 12,000. Nothing to worry his two opponents of course, who called.

On the flop of K63, Stroulis and Prvan checked to Lambert, who bet 14,000. Stroulis called, and he was the only one to do so. But it was the last action of the hand, as both players checked on the turn 2 and the river 10.

Smiling, Stroulis didn't want to show his cards at first, but he revealed KK. However, Lambert had 55 for a flush hit on the river, so he won the pot.

Laurent Vauquelin
Laurent Vauquelin

Laurent Vauquelin was in the small blind, and Moritz Urbanski in the big blind, each put 22,000 in the middle before seeing the J82 flop.

Vauquelin check-called a bet of 20,000, and the A fell on the turn.

Vauquelin checked again before Urbanski fired 50,000 into the middle, leaving just 100,000 behind. Vauquelin check-raised all-in, covering Urbanski.

After taking about 40 seconds, Urbanski made the call.

Moritz Urbanski: AJ
Laurent Vauquelin: Q10

Urbanski had the lead with top two pair but, the 7 landed on the river, giving Vauquelin a flush to score a massive pot and send Urbanski to the rail.
