Caruso On Two Starting Stacks

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

A 15,000 chip pot had been brewed between Ertan Ates and Salvatore Caruso. With a completed board of 4K655 on the table, Ates made a bet of 8,000 and Caruso let out a brief sigh before putting in the call.

Ates confidently tabled KQ for two pair, but Caruso showed J10 for a rivered flush. The Italian raked in the pot and his stack was elevated to twice the amount he started the day with.

PokerStars Ambassador Felix "xflixx" Schneiders fired two unsuccessful bullets on Day 1a, but joined Day 1c in good spirits.

In a pot against David Torgeman, who was sitting in the big blind, he was facing a bet of 1,500 on a completed board of Q7J9Q.

With around 3,500 in the middle, Schneiders swiftly decided to fold his button as he is looking for a more profitable day today.

Szczytkowski Fares Better on Second Bullet

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Wojciech Szczytkowski had three-bet preflop and found one caller in Anthony Borde. With 7,500 chips in the middle, Borde checked to Szczytkowski, who continued for 3,000 chips. Borde made the call and the 5 turn rolled off.

After another check from Borde, Szczytkowski upped the ante to 6,000 chips. This was enough to win the pot as Borde quickly forfeited his cards to the dealer. Szczytkowski chipped up a bit on his second entry on Day 1c.

Clarke Catches a Double-Up

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

In a pot that amounted to roughly 12,000 chips, James Clarke got his final 7,500 chips in from the cutoff on a board that read 10K87. Claudi Dobre was his opponent, and he check-called from the big blind to put Clarke at risk.

James Clarke: KJ
Claudiu Dobre: K4

Clarke faded Dobre's flush outs on the Q river, and his better kicker saw him double up to more than a starting stack.

Vergitsis Doubles Through Lukacs

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Bulcsu Lukacs opened to 700 from under the gun and was called by Giorgio Donzelli in the cutoff. Sofianos Vergitsis then squeezed to 2,000 on the button and both Lukacs and Donzelli called.

Action checked to Vergitsis on the K67 flop and he continued for 2,400. Only Lukacs called.

Lukacs checked again on the 10 turn and Vergitsis bet 4,200. Lukacs check-raised to 10,200 and Vergitsis called.

The 7 completed the board and Lukacs checked — prompting a shove from Vergitsis for 16,100 total. Lukacs thought it over and eventually decided to call.

Vergitsis tabled AK for kings-up and Lukacs mucked, awarding the double up to Vergitsis.

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Claudiu Dobre open-raised preflop from the cutoff and James Clarke defended the big blind. Clarke then checked on the 54A flop before Dobre fired a continuation-bet of 700.
