Ferry Ikink raised to 3,000 from middle position and John Tabago moved all in for 16,500 from late position. Liviu-Alexandru Nedelea called in the small blind and Ikink folded. The players flipped their cards, with Tabago at risk.
John Tabago: 8♣8♠
Liviu-Alexandru Nedelea: A♦Q♥
The board ran out A♣K♠9♣A♥8♥. Nedelea paired his ace on the flop and made trips on the turn. Tabago had already stood up behind his chair.
"Bye guys," said Tabago as the river card was peeled. The river brought him the full house to give him the pot.
"I knew that would work!", said Tabago as he sat back down to collect his double up.
In a blind versus blind battle, the pot stood at approximately 21,000 with two players looking at a full board that read 5♥J♠10♥7♣3♦.
Robin Sommer, in the small blind, bet enough to put Elias Suhonen, in the big blind, all in for his effective stack of 9,100. Suhonen tanked for several minutes before making the call for his tournament life.
Elias Suhonen: 9♥3♣
Robin Sommer: 5♠3♠
Suhonen's hero call back fired, falling to the two pair of Sommer and sending him to the rail.
Jon Ander Martinez moved all in for just 5,800 from middle position and was called by Heinz Schluter on the button. The rest of the table folded and players turned over their cards.
Jon Ander Martinez: Q♣7♣
Heinz Schluter: K♥Q♠
The board ran out J♠A♥10♦4♦2♦. Schluter flopped a straight to win the pot and send Martinez to the rail.
Halil Conez raised to 2,500 from late position and Benjamin Spragg three-bet to 7,000 from the button. Fintan Hand, who had just recently sat down at the table, then shoved all in from the big blind with around a starting stack. Conez folded and Spraggy made the call, putting Hand at risk.
Fintan Hand: A♦K♣
Benjamin Spragg: A♥Q♦
"Well played," said Hand as Spraggy revealed his hand.
The board ran out Q♥7♦6♠4♥J♥.
"Oh f*ck!", said Hand as the queen came on the flop to give Spraggy a pair. "I'm playing my stand up equity," he said, standing up behind his chair to tempt the poker gods into providing the king.
Fintan Hand
The king never came. Hand was eliminated and Spraggy scooped the pot to bring his stack to around 80,000.
"Have I got time to buy-in again?", asked Hand.
"You've got 20-minutes," said Spraggy. Hand walked off, presumably heading to the registration desk to fire his second bullet.
"He said he was about to bust me," said Spraggy, "note that down."
The pot stood at approximately 16,300 with two players looking at a board that read A♣J♥8♥2♣.
Anders Berggren, in the hijack, checked the action to Filip Dolezal, in the cutoff, who moved all in for 19,600. After some time in the tank, Berggren made the call.
Filip Dolezal: A♥5♥
Anders Berggren: K♦J♣
The river landed the 7♥ and Dolezal doubled up with a flush.
Players in Day 1d are heading for a 15-minute break. Late registration will be over when action resumes, at which point entry numbers for the flight will be confirmed.
