The pot stood at 18,000 with two players looking at a board that read J♣8♣A♣.

Emanuel Flesner, who was under the gun, check-called a bet of 6,000 from Niclas Mjelstad, in middle position.

The 10♠ turn saw a repeat of the action, this time Mjelstad sized up to 21,000.

The K♦ river saw Flesner check again. Mjelstad thought for some time before moving all in, putting Flesner to the test for his remaining 40,000. Flesner snap-called. Mjelstad seemed deflated as he thought such a quick call had his set drawing dead, defeatedly tabling J♦J♥.

"You're good" Flesner announced as he showed 8♦8♥, before making his way to the rail.

Late registration is now closed for Day 1f of the Eureka Main Event. There have been 855 entries to the flight, which will play down to 15 percent. That means 128 players will all make it through the flight to Day 2 and into the money.

This is the final flight of the event and so there will be no more entries. The total number of entries across all six starting flights is 4,403, up from last year's total of 4,017.

That brings the prize pool up to €4,226,880.

Payouts are expected to be announced at the start of Day 2.
