One of the most entertaining shows in poker is stepping it up a notch as PokerStars announced that the next season of Big Game on Tour will feature four-time Super Bowl champion and NFL star Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski.

Gronkowski, who spent 11 seasons as a tight end in the NFL and is now a sports analyst, will compete on the upcoming The Big Game on Tour season alongside the pros, Loose Cannons and sports media personality Nick Wright, whose appearance was also confirmed on Thursday.

“I’m always up for a challenge, and diving into the world of poker is going to be an amazing new adventure for me," Gronkowski said in a press release. “I’m beyond excited to play alongside some of the best in the game and tackle the high-stakes action. Just like on the football field, I’ll be bringing my competitive edge and giving it everything I’ve got at the tables.”

During the first break, players queued up to trade their tokens in for an envelope. Stefan Uebber pulled one of the $40,000 bounties, while Alexey Losev and Hamza Nasir both pulled $25,000 bounties.

Alexandr Khvan raised to 8,000 from under the gun and Uladzimir Zhyharau called in middle position.

The 7♣K♥J♥ flop slowed down Khavn with a check. Zhyharau took the lead for 10,000 and Khvan called.

The 4♥ turn saw a repeat of the action, this time Zhyharau sized up to 31,000.

Much to Khvan's disappointment, the 5♣ river checked to a showdown. Khvan rolled over A♥10♥ having turned the nuts, winning him this pot.

Michele Guerrini opened to 8,000 from middle position. Alexey Losev called in the small blind and Nicolas Betbese defended the big blind.

Both blinds checked the Q♣5♥6♦ to Guerrini who bet 10,000. Both blinds called before they both checked again on the 8♦ turn. Guerrini then bet 23,000 and both blinds called again.

On the A♣ river, both Losev and Betbese checked again to Guerrini who fired a bet of 80,000. Losev folded and Betbese tanked for a moment before moving all in for a little more. Guerrini snap-called and tabled 8♠8♥ for a set. This beat Betbese's Q♦3♦ and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Aleksandr Chernikov opened to 8,000 from middle position. Justin Steinbrenner called from the cutoff and Jon Vallinas defended the big blind.

The J♣3♠Q♥ flop was checked around. Vallinas checked again on the 4♣ turn which prompted Chernikov to fire a bet of 15,000. Steinbrenner and Vallinas quickly folded.

A few hands later, Steinbrenner was sent to the rail and his bounty chip fell into the hands of one of his table mates.
