Dinner Break Info.

Much like yesterday, Tables 1-15 will break for dinner at the end of this level, while Tables 16 and higher will take a 15-minute break and then return to play Level 3. Once the first half of the field returns from dinner, the second half will get their turn at the Players' Buffet.

Technical Issues

We are experiencing internet issues here at the Barcelona Casino. Hopefully it will be resolved very shortly. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Table Talk: Vanessa Selbst

Vanessa Selbst is apparently multi-lingual. After the player on her right beat her in a pot that cost her over half her stack, Selbst engaged both the dealer and a nearby media rep in rapid-fire conversation in perfect Spanish. Selbst seemed a little tilty at that moment and who could blame her-- she's down to only 4,200 in chips as we approach the end of the second level.

Johnny Chan = Chipleader

Johnny Chan
Johnny Chan
Johnny Chan is among the chipleaders after dragging a monster pot. Player in Seat 4 limped in. Johnny Chan raised to 325. Player in Seat 8 moved all in for his last 825. The player in Seat 4 pulled a "limp re-raise" and re-raised to 2,300. Chan called.

The flop was {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Seat 4 fired out 3,400 and Chan called. The turn was {J-Spades}. Seat 4 bet 6,600 and Chan moved all in. Seat 4 folded. Chan won the side pot. He flipped over A-K and was ahead against Seat 8's A-6. The river was the {7-Hearts} and Chan won the main pot.

The player in Seat 4 claimed that he folded 7-7 and would have rivered a set against Chan. Regardless, Chan took down the pot and increased his stack to over 32,000.
