Samuelsson Clock Shoves

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Andrey Shatilov had bet 37,000 from the big blind after small blind Andreas Samuelsson had checked it to him on the turn of a board reading {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{q-Clubs}.

Samuelsson likes to take his time with decisions and he certainly took his time with this one. He only had about 80,000 behind so he was entitled to take his time but Shatilov eventually called time on him. As soon as the dealer had called the floor to commence the countdown Samuelsson moved all in and Shatilov instantly mucked his cards.

McDonald Eliminated

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Mike McDonald hadn’t had much luck today and saw his stack gradually whittled down. McDonald looked down at {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and went with it only to run in to the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} of Bram Haenraets.

The cards ran out {9-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades} with the flop all but sealing his fate and McDonald was out just as the first break of the day was called.

Panka, From Almost Out to Over One Million

Dominik Panka
Dominik Panka

Dominik Panka, the PCA champion, was all in preflop wih {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} against Andrey Shatilov's {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. The board came {10-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and it looked like Panka was heading out of the door but the river was the {K-Clubs} and Panka doubled up.

A few hands later and Dominik Panka was betting 190,000 on the river of an {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{K-Spades} board. Johan Soderberg check-raised all in for 311,000 and Panka looked pained. He took several minutes before finally calling.

Soderberg turned over {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Panka flipped {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

Soderberg looked shocked, "You slowrolled me?"

Panka replied, "No, of course I didn't."

Andre Leattau added, "I don't think it's a slowroll."

Guerrero Gone

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The final board was {7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Jimmy Guerrero had bet 74,000. Robert Schulz moved all in over the top of him and Guerrero didn’t know what to make of it. Minutes ticked by and eventually the clock was called. The floor arrived and began the countdown.

Guerrero tried to get a read on his opponent with some questions but there was no response. The ten second countdown commenced and had just got to eight when Guerrero made the call. Schulz turned over {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Guerrero tried to muck but was forced to show {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

Three-Way All In

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Three players were so happy with their hands that they wagered all their chips before a flop had been dealt and sat back to watch the result.

Knut Hatle had {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}, Andrey Shatilov the {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Andreas Samuelsson held {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}.

The cards came out {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Shatilov clapped his hands once as the river hit. Neither of the other two players was eliminated in the hand but Shatilov got a triple up and crippled the others. Hatle was broke a few hands later.
