Litvinov And Khoroshenin Tangle

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Artem Litvinov
Artem Litvinov

Oleksii Khoroshenin opened for 2,700 and then called a 11,200 shove from Artem Litvinov.

Litvinov with {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and the over cards {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for Khoroshenin.

A board of {6-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts} saw the baby pair hold up and give Litvinov the double up.

Not long after that Khoroshenin opened for 2,600 and faced a three-bet of 6,500 from Litvinov. He made the call and it went heads-up to a flop of {5-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. They both checked and a bet of 6,300 on the turn card {9-Spades} from Khoroshenin saw Litvinov fold.

"Did He Trap You Also?"

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Joining the action on a board of {4-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {2-Spades}, Thomas Butzhammer had checked and Nikolay Komcharokov bet 7,000. The German eventually called off and was shown the {K-Hearts} {K-Spades}. "Again? Did he trap you also and checked the flop?" a puzzled Simon Ravnsbaek said in table chat.

Indeed the Russian had checked behind top set on the flop and made a small bet on the turn.

Soshnikov Doubles Through Ruzicka

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Ivan Soshnikov
Ivan Soshnikov

Ivan Soshnikov raised from under the gun and then four-bet to 14,000 after Vojtech Ruzicka had three-bet from the button to 6,000. Ruzicka moved all in with {A-Clubs} {J-Spades} and Soshnikov called for his last 62,000 with {K-Clubs} {K-Spades}. The board ran out dry for the Czech, reading {Q-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {Q-Spades}, and suddenly the EPT 10 Prague High Roller champion is among the bigger stacks.

Vamplew Cut In Half

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Ivan Luca led the betting on the turn of a board reading {j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds} putting out 4,900. The decision was on David Vamplew and he put out the call.

The river card {6-Spades} was the final community card and Luca assembled chips of various denominations before making it 19,900.

Vamplew was intrigued. There was now a decent pot in the middle, Luca had a big stack and Vamplew only had a stack of just under 50,000. A few minutes went by as his mind whirred after nine hours of poker. He studied the board, scratched his chin pensively and eventually made the call.

Luca showed Vamplew the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} which was good.

Don't Touch my Blinds

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Towards the end of the previous level, Carlos Lopes faced a raise to 2,500 from early position and the Frenchman defended his big blind to defend with {Q-} {J-} off suit. Lopes check-called a bet of 3,500 on a {2-} {8-} {Q-} flop with two clubs and did so again for 6,500 on the turn when an ace appeared. The {6-Clubs} on the river completed a possible flush draw and the opponent of the Frenchman moved all in.

Lopes tanked for half a minute considering the buy-in amount is not his usual stakes and then called to get shown {J-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}.
