The Seven-Deuce Game

Level 21 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Just now Paul Newey folded his big blind, showing {2-}{7-} in the process. It wasn't the first time someone folded the big blind because he got the worst of all starting hands, at least four times before it happened today. Juha Helppi was on the receiving end more than once, showing every time. So far, nobody has gone wild with them, every time they ended up in the muck before the flop as far as we know.

Newey Takes From Chidwick

Level 21 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick opened to 225,000 from then button and was called by Paul Newey in the small blind.

The flop came down {6-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and both players checked. The dealer then produced the {10-Spades} on the turn and Newey led out for 300,000. Chichwick made the call before the {7-Clubs} completed the board.

Newey paused for a moment before sliding out a bet totalling 575,000. Chidwick thought about his decision before making the call. Newey then casually turned over his {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a flush which was enough to take down the pot as Chidwick mucked his cards.
