Sorel Mizzi Eliminated in 10th Place (€85,000)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Sorel Mizzi -- 10th Place
Sorel Mizzi -- 10th Place

The unofficial final table of nine has been set after Toby Lewis eliminated Sorel Mizzi in a battle of the blinds.

The action folded to Lewis in the small blind, and he raised. Mizzi moved all in for about 250,000 from the big blind, and Lewis called.

Lewis: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Mizzi: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Spades} to have Mizzi dead by the turn. He was eliminated in 10th place and earned €85,000. Lewis moved up to about 1.2 million.

Sbrissa Back Down

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Victor Sbrissa has lost some chips after apparently Fady Kamar flopped the nut flush that was still good as the board paired.

The latter raised to 40,000 from under the gun and the former called from the small blind. Both players checked the {2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop before Sbrissa led for 45,000 on the {j-Clubs} turn. Kamar raised to 93,000 and was called.

On the {k-Diamonds} river Sbrissa checked and snap-called when Kamer bet 154,000. Kamer opened {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and Sbrissa folded.

Moore Cracks Cheong's Kings

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

From middle position, Kyle Cheong opened with a raise to 45,000. Action folded to Chris Moore in the big blind, and he reraised all in for 260,000. Cheong quickly called and rolled over the {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}. Moore was behind with the {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

The {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop gave Moore the lead with a set of sevens. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn left Cheong needed a king on the river to win the hand or a four to chop. The river was the {5-Hearts}, though, and Moore improved to a full house.
More importantly, he maintained his lead gained on the flop and doubled up. Cheong was left with 229,000.

Lewis Slow Plays Aces to His Cost

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Toby Lewis' stack has taken a severe dent after he slowed played aces and let Steve Silverman hit a set.

Tony Gregg opened to 50,000 before Lewis (hijack) and Silverman (big blind) called to see a {3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop appear. Gregg continued for 80,000 and was called by Lewis before Silverman check-raised all in for 486,000. Gregg folded but Lewis called in a flash with {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}.

It was no good though as Silverman opened {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a set. The board ran {4-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Lewsi handed over the chips.

Victor Sbrissa Eliminated in 8th Place (€116,100); Kyle Cheong Eliminated in 9th Place (€85,400)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

From middle position, Kyle Cheong raised to 200,000, which was just about all of his chips as he only had 29,000 behind. One seat over in the hijack seat was Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst, and she made the call. Then, play folded to Victor Sbrissa in the small blind, and he moved all in for 571,000. Cheong called all in for 229,000 total, but the real decision was on Selbst. She took about half a minute, somewhat shook her head at the spot she was put in, and called.

Selbst tabled the {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. Sbrissa had the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, and Cheong held the {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. With the only ace, Selbst seemed somewhat relieved with the shape she was now in.

The flop provided gold for Selbst when the {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} rolled out. Cheong picked up some help with a straight draw, but it was Selbst's aces out in front. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn added a flush draw for Sbrissa, but the {6-Clubs} on the river wouldn't do it.

Cheong had the least amount of chips and was awarded with ninth-place money, €85,400. Sbrissa had his kings cracked after cracking Alex Bilokur's aces with kings earlier, and he finished in eighth place for €116,100.

Selbst collected the pot — or should we say pile — and moved to well over 2 million. Updated chip counts will be posted shortly.

Gregg Shoves On Vanessa

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Tony Gregg is into second place in the counts after he emptied the clip on Vanessa Selbst.

He opened to 50,000 and was called Selbst and Chris Moore in the big blind. On the {j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop Gregg continued for 115,00 and only the Team PokerStars Pro called to the {k-Diamonds} turn. There, she called a 170,000 bet from Gregg.

The board completed with the {3-Hearts} and Gregg wasted little tme in shoving. Selbst took 0.5 seconds to fold.
