Sergej Schumacher opened to 500 under the under, only to be faced with a three-bet to 1,600 by Sergej Schumacher in middle position. Action folded back to Schumacher, who called.

On the A44 flop, Laustetter check-raised to 2,500 versus a bet of 800 from Schumacher. After some thought, Schumacher called.

The 8 rolled off on the turn, and Laustetter fired out a bet of 3,000. Schumacher quickly called.

The 9 river completed the board and was checked by both players.

Laustetter showed AK for top pair aces, and Schumacher mucked.

Jan Scheldorf opened under the gun and was faced with a three-bet to 16,000 by Jonathan Wendlandt on the button. Action folded back to Scheldorf, who went for the four-bet jam for 88,000. After a brief period of deliberation, Wendlandt called.

It was the classic race, but Scheldorf went ahead after the AJ4 flop, the 2 turn and 5 river not altering matters. Scheldorf let out a relatively restrained "Yes" as his double-up was confirmed.
