Joachim "jochee" Haraldstad Wins GGSF Main Event-H: $1,500 PLO-NL, $2M GTD ($249,926)

Level 26 : 600,000/1,200,000, 150,000 ante

At the final table of GG Spring Festival Main Event-H: $1,500 PLO-NL, a favorite and a longshot met at the end to chop up all the money.

Joachim "jochee" Haraldstad began the final table with the biggest stack and completely dominated from start to finish, wrecking fellow leader Markus "Lenbert1" Schottes and just generally rampaging to what looked like an insurmountable lead.

Meanwhile, "Majki365," the shortest stack by far and the only player open from the start about wanting to deal, managed to ladder past all the other players at the seven-handed table. They double up heads up, and after a few more hands of play, Haraldstad agreed to deal and they each secured more than $200K for their efforts in the 1,412-entry field.

For Haraldstad, the key hand came up with three tables left. He flopped top set of aces versus second set of kings held by Bernard Larabi, who had the chip lead and opted to check-shove the turn. After missing the one-outer, he crashed back to the pack while Haraldstad rocketed to the chip lead with more than 100 big blinds.

Some heavy bubble pressure saw Haraldstad take 43 million out of about 140 million total chips to the final table.

Only Schottes was close behind with 40 million but nothing went right for him at the final table besides an early bust of Jens "Tankanza" Lakemeier. He dropped three pretty big pots to Haraldstad to fall to a short stack and ended up going out in fourth.

In the mean time, Majki365 pretty much sat on the sidelines as Haraldstad played all of the pots and busted just about everyone. Every time they got all the chips in, they had the best of it and held up. All the while, their offers for a deal went unrequited.

When Haraldstad busted Larabi in third on a zero-sweat hand, a deal still seemed pretty unlikely as Haraldstad was up about 6-to-1 in chips.

Majki365 finally got it in behind but they managed a double, and not too long after that, Haraldstad decided to end things early and not risk any miracle comeback, giving up about $14K from the first-place prize money.

"Majki365" Eliminated in 2nd Place ($210,693)

Level 26 : 600,000/1,200,000, 150,000 ante

The players raised all in with nothing left to play for and it was {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for "Majki365" against {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for Joachim "jochee" Haraldstad. The {9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop gave Majki365 a big lead but Haraldstad turned kings full to end the proceedings.

Deal Made

Level 26 : 600,000/1,200,000, 150,000 ante

Joachim "jochee" Haraldstad got paid off on a river bet holding the second-nut straight to reduce "Majki365" back down to about 25 million.

Majki365 had put up the "deal" flag at the beginning of the final table, and lo and behold, after every other player had been eliminated except one, that last opponent opted to click the deal box also. With about 20 seconds left in the deal-making time, both players agreed to the numbers put forth by GGPoker.

Haraldstad earns $249,926 while Majki365 gets $210,693 under the new payouts.

"Majki365" Doubles on River

Level 25 : 500,000/1,000,000, 125,000 ante

"Majki365" limped, Joachim "jochee" Haraldstad potted, Majki365 repotted and Haraldstad shoved. Majki365 was all in for about 19 milliom.

Majki365: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}
Haraldstad: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The {5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} brought a pair for Majki365 but the {6-Spades} gave Haraldstad a straight. He needed only to fade a river spade but couldn't do so as the {4-Spades} arrived.

Bernard Larabi Eliminated in 3rd Place ($147,781)

Level 25 : 500,000/1,000,000, 125,000 ante

Joachim "jochee" Haraldstad opened on the button and Bernard Larabi defended the big blind. Action checked to the turn on {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Larabi potted for all but the last few thousand. Haraldstad shoved and Larabi called.

There was no drama left as {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, good for top set, had Larabi's {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds} drawing dead.

[Removed:246] Eliminated in 4th Place ($110,705)

Level 23 : 350,000/700,000, 85,000 ante

Markus "Lenbert1" Schottes paid off Joachim "jochee" Haraldstad for just under 5 million into 6.5 million on a board of {6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, with Haraldstad showing {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades} for the nuts.

Then, Haraldstad raised to 1,540,000 and called a repot from Schottes in the small blind. Schottes shoved the last 4.4 million on the {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop and Haraldstad called.

Schottes: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Haraldstad: {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The {7-Spades} didn't help Haraldstad, but the {5-Diamonds} gave him two pair.

Arvi Vainionkulma Eliminated in 5th Place ($82,931)

Level 23 : 350,000/700,000, 85,000 ante

Arvi Vainionkulma opened for pot, small blind Markus "Lenbert1" Schottes repotted to just over 8 million and then called off his last crumbs.

Schottes: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Vainionkulma: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{a-Hearts} flop was all Schottes. He did have some cards to fade after the {j-Hearts} but the {5-Clubs} was a safe river.

Left with about 1.7 million, Vainionkulma busted the next hand and the players went to break.

"Suhepx" Eliminated in 6th Place ($62,125)

Level 22 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Joachim "jochee" Haraldstad took down three pots against Markus "Lenbert1" Schottes and then a three-way pot that busted "Suhepx" to take command of the tournament with half of the chips.

In the latter pot, Suhepx was all in pre for 4.1M and Schottes cold-called in the big blind along with Haraldstad, who had opened the pot. The flop checked through for a board of {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and Schottes check-called a small bet of about 3.4 million. The {9-Diamonds} river checked through.

Haraldstad showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} for two pair and was enough to beat queens held by both opponents, {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs} for Suhepx and {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} of Schottes.

Jens "Tankanza" Lakemeier Eliminated in 7th Place ($46,539)

Level 22 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante

Jens "Tankanza" Lakemeier opened for 1.3 million under the gun and Markus "Lenbert1" Schottes defended the big blind. Schottes check-raised all in for about 7.5 million over a half-pot bet from Lakemeier on the {8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop.

Schottes: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Lakemeier: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

It was a flip but that changed instantly on the {7-Hearts} turn as Lakemeier had no outs to beat a flush. He busted despite flopping the nuts.
