Haraldstad Doubles Through Larabi for Huge Lead

Level 18 : 150,000/300,000, 35,000 ante

Joachim "jochee" Haraldstad raised to 750,000 under the gun and Bernard Larabi defended big blind. Larabi check-called 602,250 on the {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} flop. On the {9-Spades}, Larabi checked and Haraldstad bet 2,422,125. Larabi went into his time bank then crammed, covering the 13,174,213 of his opponent.

Larabi: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Haraldstad: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

Haraldstad faded the one-outer on the {10-Diamonds} river and vaulted into a big chip lead.

Drinan Eliminates Nemeth

Level 8 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante
Andras Nemeth
Andras Nemeth

Connor Drinan opened under the gun for 135K and called the shove of Andras Nemeth a couple of seats over for 456,346.

Drinan: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Nemeth: {k-Spades}{3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Nemeth was slightly ahead with kings but Drinan picked up a pretty good flop in {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. The {q-Spades} gave him a leading two pair, so Nemeth needed to improve on the river, and the {10-Diamonds} didn't do it.

Welcome to Day 2 of GGSF Main Event-H: $1,500 PLO-NL, $2M GTD [Day 2]

After three long weeks of intense action, it's time for the GG Spring Festival to come to a close, and one of the final big events that will wrap today is GGSF Main Event-H: $1,500 PLO-NL, $2M GTD [Day 2]. For those wondering about the PLO-NL game format, it simply refers to the difference between preflop play (pot-limit) and postflop play (no-limit).

This event sports a $2 million guarantee and a slew of Day 1 flights, with several still running or scheduled at the time of writing. That should allow the field, currently at 1,261, to get closer to 1,500.

Stacks coming to Day 2 range from barely above the starting stack (122K) to more than 20 starting stacks — "BIG HAI" leads the way with a little over 2.3 million. Some players who have already advanced include Ami Barer, Francois Billard, Niklas Astedt, George Wolff, Dario Sammartino, Eoghan "DrRoche" O'Dea, Sami Kelopuro and Eelis Parssinen.

Action kicks off just after 4 p.m. EDT with 700/1,400/1,750. Stay tuned to PokerNews to see who scoops the lion's share of this seven-figure prize pool.
