Petrangelo Doubles Through Watson Once More

Level 29 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante
Petrangelo vs Watson Part II
Petrangelo vs Watson Part II

Mike Watson and Yuri Dzivielevski increased their stacks and especially the former was already nearing three million. However, the recent profit vanished right after the blinds had gone up, Watson raised to 110,000 and then called the shove by Nick Petrangelo for 511,752 from one seat over in the cutoff.

Nick Petrangelo: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Mike Watson: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Petrangelo had the best of it once more and prevailed on the {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} runout.

Level 29 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Yuri Dzivielevski opened to 100,000 and was called by Nick Petrangelo out of the big blind. The flop fell {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and a bet of 52,500 by Dzivielevski did the trick to force a fold from Petrangelo.

Updated Counts on the Break

Level 29 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

In the final hand prior to the break, Yuri Dzivielevski raised to 150,000 in the small blind and Dario Sammartino came along out of the big blind. On a flop of {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, Dzivielevski continued for 87,500 to earn a call. He then checked the {6-Spades} on the turn and Sammartino's bet of 168,630 earned the pot without further resistance.

Filatov Leaves Petrangelo on the Ropes

Level 29 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Anatoly Filatov open-jammed for the last 596,987 on the button and was instantly called by Nick Petrangelo in the big blind.

Anatoly Filatov: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Nick Petrangelo: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} board improved Filatov and Petrangelo was left with just four and a half blinds.

Nick Petrangelo Eliminated in 6th Place ($138,451)

Level 29 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

After going through the blinds, Nick Petrangelo was down to the last 186,517 and got those in from the button. Yuri Dzivielevski called out of the big blind and Petrangelo was ahead once more.

Nick Petrangelo: {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Yuri Dzivielevski: {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop provided some back door outs for Dzivielevski but the {k-Clubs} turn cut it down to just the three remaining tens in the deck. Sure enough, the {10-Diamonds} fell on the river and Petrangelo had to settle for 6th place.

Watson Still In The Lead

Level 30 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Mike Watson min-raised to 120,000 on the button and Yuri Dzivielevski as second in chips defended the big blind. The Brazilian check-called the {j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop when facing a continuation bet for 77,000. No action followed on the {9-Clubs} turn and Dzivielevski check-folded the {2-Clubs} river to a 230,750-bet by Watson.

Nothing much happened beyond that in the new level so far. Christian Rudolph got through with a three-bet jam and Dzivielevski raise-folded against Dario Sammartino.

Near Even at the Top

Level 30 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Mike Watson opened the button to 120,000 and Yuri Dzivielevski stuck around from the big blind to see a flop of {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. The Brazilian opted to check-call Watson's bet worth 77,000 and the {j-Clubs} turn went check, check.

On the {8-Spades} river, Dzivielevski bet 60,000 and Watson called with {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} to get shown {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} as the winning hand by Dzivielevski.
