O'Dwyer Leaps Into the Lead

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Nuter vs O'Dwyer
Nuter vs O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer won a large pot off "R_uida lin" when he called a three-bet to hefty 44,000 and the {j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop appeared. "R_uida lin" bet 58,000 and O'Dwyer check-min-raised to force a fold.

"R_uida lin" then flipped with {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} as David Coleman tabled the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} in a preflop contest. The {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{k-Spades} board gave Coleman the top two pair.

Timothy Nuter also sent his chips over to O'Dwyer when he four-bt jammed for 143,039. O'Dwyer had three-bet to 22,500 in the cutoff and instantly called.

Timothy Nuter: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Steve O'Dwyer: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Spades} board brought no upset as O'Dwyer leaped into the top spot.

Level 9 : 1,250/2,500, 300 ante
Adams vs Watson
Adams vs Watson

Timothy Adams made it 5,500 to go in the hijack and was called by Mike Watson out of the small blind, Arsenii Malinov stuck around from the big blind. The {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop was checked to Adams, who bet 4,750 and earned one caller in Watson. On the {8-Hearts} turn, Watson check-called for another 30,000 and checked the {k-Spades} river.

Adams jammed for 144,615 into a pot of 88,400 and Watson snap-called for the final 97,557 with the {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a set. Adams only had {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and dropped to fewer than half the starting stack.

Three hands later, Malinov flipped preflop via cold four-bet jam and Watson called.

Arsenii Malinov: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Mike Watson: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The very same hands clashed and again, eights held thanks to the {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board.

Chidwick Chips Up; Greenwood Busts

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Greenwood vs Astedt
Greenwood vs Astedt

Right before the blinds went up, the action escalated and Stephen Chidwick scored a big pot while Sam Greenwood was eliminated.

Chidwick's raise to 3,500 was defended by Artur Martirosian, who check-called for 10,710 on the {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop. Martirosian then bet the {4-Diamonds} turn for 7,587 and the {7-Hearts} river for 28,222. Chidwick called both times with {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and caught Martiosian with the fingers in the cookie jar, as he only had {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}.

Two hands later, Greenwood three-bet to 14,000 in the small blind and Niklas Astedt cold four-bet to 28,460 in the big blind. Andras Nemeth folded and Greenwood called to see the {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop. He checked and Astedt jammed with the covering stack, which Greenwood called for the 56,274 he had behind.

Sam Greenwood: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Niklas Astedt: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The {3-Hearts} turn left Greenwood in even worse shape and the {2-Spades} river brought no miracle.
